SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR CONVERTING WASTE PLASTIC INTO FUEL
An apparatus is provided for processing reusable fuel comprising: a continuous material supply assembly; a heated airlock feeder configured to continuously receive and process the material supply received therein; a reactor configured to receive the processed material from the heated airlock feeder; and a vapor refining system configured to process vapor supplied by the reactor. The apparatus may comprise a char disposal system configured to eliminate char from the reactor. The apparatus may also comprise a thermal expansion system configured to allow thermal expansion of the reactor. A cooling system may be configured to receive processed fuel from the reactor.
PRODUCTION APPARATUS FOR CARBON NANOHORN AGGREGATE
A production apparatus for manufacturing carbon nanohorn aggregates including fibrous carbon nanohorn aggregates includes a target holding unit holding a cylindrical carbon target containing Fe or another metal catalyst, a light source irradiating a laser beam on the surface of the carbon target, a production chamber configured to irradiate the carbon target with the laser beam in a non-oxidizing gas atmosphere to produce a product including the CNB, a collection mechanism collecting the product, a rotation mechanism rotating the carbon target, and a moving mechanism moving the carbon target in the axial direction thereof.
GRAPHENE MATERIAL PRODUCTION DEVICE AND SYSTEM
Disclosed are a graphene material production device and a system including the device. The device includes: a first reaction component, a second reaction component and a negative pressure generating component. The first reaction component includes a first reaction chamber and a first material outlet arranged at a bottom of the first reaction chamber. The second reaction component includes a second reaction chamber and a second material inlet. A connecting passage between the first material outlet and the second material inlet is provided with a valve. A suction hole of the negative pressure generating component is provided inside the second reaction chamber. The use of the device in the process of producing a graphene material by a redox method can overcome the problem that the viscous material is difficult to transfer, thereby reducing the production difficulty and effectively improving the production efficiency of graphene materials.
UNIVERSAL FEEDER FOR GASIFICATION REACTORS
A universal feeder system that combines with a fluidized bed gasification reactor for the treatment of multiple diverse feedstocks including sewage sludge, municipal solid waste, wood waste, refuse derived fuels, automotive shredder residue and non-recyclable plastics. The invention thereby also illustrates a method of gasification for multiple and diverse feedstocks using a universal feeder system. The feeder system comprises one or more feed vessels and at least one live bottom dual screw feeder. The feed vessel is rectangular shaped having three vertical sides and an angled side of no less than 60 degrees from the horizontal to facilitate proper flow of feedstock material that have different and/or variable flow properties. The feedstocks are transferred through an open bottom chute to a live bottom dual screw feeder and through another open bottom chute to a transfer screw feeder that conveys feedstock to the fuel feed inlets of a gasifier.
AIR-STIRRED TANK REACTOR (ASTR) FOR PRODUCTION OF MICROORGANISMS AND CELL CULTURES
An air-stirred tank reactor (ASTR) and methods of use thereof are described herein. The ASTR is equipped with an impeller or set of impellers that mechanically mixes a liquid culture, as well as sparges gas into the liquid medium. The impeller can further have lighting sources that can illuminate the liquid culture. Unlike conventional bioreactors, the ASTR provides superior liquid mixing, efficient gas mass transfer, and a low-shear culture environment through appropriate impeller rotational speed and sparging rate.
Devices and Methods for Separating Components
A method, system, and device for separating components is disclosed. A vessel is provided. A first volume of a process liquid, containing a first component and a second component, is passed into an inner chamber. The piston retracts to a first position. The fluid inlet is closed. The piston is retracted to a second position, causing the first component and a first portion of the second component to flash to form a vapor stream while a second portion of the second component freezes to form a solid product stream. The fluid outlet is then opened. The piston is advanced to a third position that results in a third volume, smaller than the first volume, such that the vapor stream is expelled. The fluid outlet is closed. The piston is fully closed such that the solid product stream is pressed into and extruded through the solids outlet.
Hydrogenation method for increasing yield of cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid diisooctyl ester
A hydrogenation method for increasing the yield of cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid diisooctyl ester is provided. The hydrogenation method uses a hydrogenating reaction tank, which is equipped with a hollow-shaft gas-introducing mixer having air-extracting, air-exhausting and mixing functions, to allow hydrogen gas to be uniformly dispersed in a reaction solution. A ruthenium-on-alumina (Ru/Al.sub.2O.sub.3) hydrogenation catalyst can be used for carrying out a hydrogenation reaction under gentle conditions. Therefore, the hydrogenation catalyst can be used in a reduced amount, the risk of side reaction(s) can be reduced, and the yield of cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid diisooctyl ester can reach at least 99% with a cis isomer proportion of at least 85.0%. The hydrogenation method shows extremely high economic benefit.
Method for designing multi-valve uni-direction blowdown system for a high pressure tubular reactor
Provided herein is a unidirectional blow down system for a high-pressure tubular reactor with a hyper that minimizes the tube wall metal temperature during a decomposition event wherein the system prevents the reactor walls from reaching a temperature capable of causing the tube metal to austenize. Also provided are methods of designing and methods of operating a unidirectional blowdown system.
