A gassing reactor is provided that comprises a dispersion stage with a rotor and a stator. The rotor and the stator respectively exhibit at least one shear surface that exhibits at least one axial component in relation to the axis of rotation of the dispersion stage. It is further provided that the gassing reactor exhibits at least one gas feed line that opens into at least one gas outlet opening into a dispersion gap of the dispersion stage formed between the rotor and the stator, delimited by the shear surfaces. In this way, the gas introduction into the liquid can be done within a range in which the maximum shear forces and highly-turbulent shear fields occurs when the gassing reactor is operating and rotor is rotating. This promotes a reliable as a fine-beaded as possible dissipation of the gas into the liquid.

CARBON DIOXIDE ENHANCED HYDROTHERMAL LIQUEFACTION

A process where a liquid or supercritical CO2 co-solvent is used in a hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) process. The process improves yield of the HTL process.

CONTINUOUS PROCESS PYROLYSIS SYSTEM

The invention provides apparatus and method of pyrolysing feedstock to produce char. A feedstock advancing mechanism in a lower portion of a substantially sealed reaction chamber advances the feedstock laterally along the lower portion as it pyrolyses in its progression from the proximal end to the distal end. Char is discharged from the distal end of the reaction chamber. A control system controls at least the flow rate of oxygen containing gas entering the chamber via the inlet port in response to the temperature measurements in the reaction chamber so that the temperature measurements are appropriate for the production of char from the feedstock and so that a zone of volatile gas combustion is established in the headspace, involving essentially complete consumption of all incoming free oxygen in the headspace without contacting the feedstock.

High-gravity device for generating nano/micron bubbles and reaction system

The present application provides a high-gravity device for generating nano/micron bubble and a reaction system. In the device, the liquid phase is continuous phase and the gas phase is dispersed phase. A gas enters the interior of the device from a hollow shaft, and the gas is subjected to primary shearing under a shearing effect of aerating micropores to form bubbles; then, the bubbles rapidly disengage from the surface of a rotating shaft under the effect of the rotating shaft rotating at a high speed, and are subjected to secondary shearing under the high-gravity environment with the strong shearing force formed by the rotating shaft to form nano/micron bubbles. The device has the advantages of fastness, stability, and small average particle size. The average particle size of the formed nano/micron bubbles is between 800 nanometers and 50 microns, and the average particle size of the bubbles can be regulated in a range by adjusting the rotating speed of the rotating shaft.

CATALYST ROLLER FOR GRAVITY-ASSISTED PARTICLE FLOW
20180296999 · 2018-10-18 ·

Systems and methods are provided for controlling the flow and transport of catalyst particles within a reaction system. The flow of catalyst particles can be managed using a rotating disc or wheel that is configured within a roller volume to allow for control over the rate of catalyst flow while reducing or minimizing attrition of the catalyst particles. This can be achieved in part by maintaining a relationship between the center of the rotating disc, the inlet for catalyst particles to the roller volume, and the top wall of the roller volume so that catalyst particles are not exposed to compressive forces and/or abrasion during rotation of the disc. Additionally or alternately, the disc and roller volume surfaces can be configured to reduce or minimize the potential for catalyst particles to become trapped in dead space regions within the roller volume. By using a disc to provide force for transport of particles through the roller volume, the speed of catalyst movement can be controlled at relatively slow catalyst flow rates with a reduced or minimized risk for clogging or plugging within the roller volume.
