The invention relates to a dental care unit having, among other things, a dental operating light configured to generate a light pattern of a desired shape at a desired distance from the dental operating light to illuminate a patient's oral cavity, and where the dental operating light comprises structurally integrated optical cameras configured to operatively work with a light control system of the dental operating light.

The present disclosure relates to a unit chair. The unit chair includes a link unit for adjusting a posture of a headrest, wherein the link unit includes: a first link member fixed to a backrest portion of the unit chair; a second link member having one end portion hinged to the first link member by a first hinge pin; and a first ratchet member formed on one surface of at least one of the first link member and the second link member and constraining motion of the second link member so that the second link member is rotatable only in one direction based on a central axis line of the first hinge pin, wherein the first ratchet member includes a first ratchet base portion including a plurality of saw teeth formed on one surface, arranged in a ring shape based on the central axis line of the first hinge pin, uplifted in a direction toward the central axis line, and inclined only in one direction, and having an opposite surface fixed to the first link member; and a first ratchet rotating portion including a plurality of saw teeth formed on one surface and at least partially engaged with at least some of the saw teeth of the first ratchet base portion and having an opposite surface fixed to the second link member.

A spittoon which is used in a dental unit chair is disclosed. The spittoon includes: a main body; a spitting receptacle disposed in an upper portion of the main body; a spitting receptacle cover configured to cover the spitting receptacle; a moving unit configured to move the spitting receptacle cover, and the moving unit is configured to move the spitting receptacle cover to cover the spitting receptacle or move the spitting receptacle cover not to cover and to open the spitting receptacle.

The invention relates to a dental treatment or examination system having a plurality of treatment or examination instruments and also having a supply unit coupled to the treatment or examination instruments. In this connection, the system has means to identify the contact of a selected instrument from the plurality of instruments and initializes, as a function of an identified contact of the relevant instrument, the supply unit for an operation of the instrument. Using the means to identify the contact it is thus possible to achieve a situation where the supply unit, for example, automatically makes available activation or parameterization options for the relevant instrument and/or suitable media without more extensive manipulation on the part of the user of the system being required therefor. A dental tool control system includes a chair that may be positioned in a dental environment. A port is coupled to the chair and the port may be electrically coupled to a power tool. A control is positioned proximate the chair and the control may be manipulated. The control is in wireless communication with the port and the control may control operational parameters of the power tool.

A system and method for actuating controlled stimulation of a patient in a confined medical position helps sooth and entertain a patient receiving medical treatment while resting on a support member, like a dental chair. The system provides a support member, and integrates at least one air actuated animated member, such as a mobile or figurine, proximal to the support member, to enable animated motion by the animated member through pressurized air. Pressurized air causes the animated members to articulate in animated, colorful movements. Audio signals are also generated by the animated member in response to the pressurized air. The animated member can be a mobile or a cartoon character with joints, axes, and limbs that move when engaged by pressurized air. The patient or caregiver control distribution of the pressurized air by manipulating a foot valve and an arm valve to control the animated members.
