Furnace atmosphere control for lithium-ion battery cathode material production
A method and apparatus for controlling the atmosphere of a multizone calcination (firing) furnace for production of high-quality nickel-rich cathode material for lithium-ion and solid-state batteries. A high-quality oxygen-rich atmosphere is maintained to ensure the quality of the cathode material. An atmosphere control system continuously measures and analyzes the composition of the calcination furnace atmosphere in different zones and adjusts the flowrate of oxygen-rich atmosphere into the furnace to optimize the calcination process.

A reactor for producing a synthesis gas from a fuel, with a housing (2) with a combustion part accommodating a first fluidized bed in operation, a riser (3) extending along a longitudinal direction of the reactor (1) and accommodating a second fluidized bed in operation, a down-comer (4) positioned parallel to the riser and extending into the first fluidized bed, and one or more feed channels (33) for providing the fuel to the reactor (1). The reactor (1) further has a riser air chamber section (B) connected to a lower part of the riser (3), the riser air chamber section (B) comprising a cylindrical wall (28) with a plurality of circumferentially located holes (24, 25).
Upcycling perfluoropolymers into fluorinated olefins
Mechanical stirred bed reactors that incorporate a screen are described. Methods of using such reactors to process perfluoropolymers to form perfluorinated olefin monomers are also described. The reactors and methods may be used to upcycle filled perfluorinated materials.
Modified Supported Chromium Catalysts and Ethylene-Based Polymers Produced Therefrom
Supported chromium catalysts with an average valence less than +6 and having a hydrocarbon-containing or halogenated hydrocarbon-containing ligand attached to at least one bonding site on the chromium are disclosed, as well as ethylene-based polymers with terminal alkane, aromatic, or halogenated hydrocarbon chain ends. Another ethylene polymer characterized by at least 2 wt. % of the polymer having a molecular weight greater than 1,000,000 g/mol and at least 1.5 wt. % of the polymer having a molecular weight less than 1000 g/mol is provided, as well as an ethylene homopolymer with at least 3.5 methyl short chain branches and less than 0.6 butyl short chain branches per 1000 total carbon atoms.
VESSEL SYSTEM FOR PRE ACTIVATING A SOLID CATALYST AND METHOD THEREOF
An apparatus for polymerizing olefins including a polymerization reactor and a vessel system for pre-activating a solid catalyst component, wherein the vessel system is arranged upstream of the polymerization reactor. The vessel system includes a contacting vessel which includes a main portion, a base portion, a head portion, an inlet, an outlet, and a stirrer positioned within the contacting vessel, wherein the ratio (H/D) of the height (H) of the main portion to the diameter (D) of the main portion is 1.8 or greater. The stirrer is located at a position between the inlet and the outlet.
CATALYST MIXING DEVICE
A mixing device for mixing at least two particulate materials has a first riser used for loading first particles and a second riser surrounding and being coaxial with the riser and used for loading second particles. The upper part of the first riser extending beyond the top of the second riser. At least a part of the upper part of the first riser and at least a part of the upper part of the second riser being located inside a mixing zone container, such that the first and second particles are delivered to the inside of the mixing zone container by means of the first and second risers respectively and mixed.
GAS DISTRIBUTOR FOR BUBBLE COLUMN REACTOR
Bubble column reactor assemblies are provided, an assembly (100) comprising: a reactor vessel (102) comprising a bottom end and a top end. A pre-distributor plate (114) having a bottom surface and a top surface, disposed in the 5 reactor vessel (102) such that the bottom surface faces the bottom end of the reactor vessel (102). A gas distributor (106) is disposed below the pre-distributor plate (114) to receive and inject gas into a liquid prior to distribution of gas and liquid by the pre-distributor plate (114). The gas distributor (106) comprises: a common manifold (108) and a plurality of ring-shaped pipes disposed along a length of the 10 common manifold (108); and a plurality of nozzles disposed along an outer circumference of each ring-shaped pipe of the plurality of ring-shaped pipes to inject gas and create vortexes for uniform distribution of the gas in the liquid.
METHOD FOR PREPARING ETHYLENE PROPYLENE
A device for mixing at least two granular materials has a first lifting tube used for loading first particles and a second lifting tube surrounding and coaxial to the first lifting tube and used for loading second particles. The upper part of said first lifting tube extends beyond the top of said second lifting tube, and at least part of the upper part of the first lifting tube and at least part of the upper part of the second lift tube are located inside a fast bed precipitator, allowing the first and second particles to be transported by means of the first and second lifting tubes to the interior of said fast bed precipitator and mixed.
CHEMICAL FEED DISTRIBUTORS AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME
According to one or more embodiments, a chemical feed distributor may include a chemical feed inlet, a body, a plurality of primary chemical feed outlets, and a secondary chemical feed outlet. The chemical feed inlet may pass a chemical feed stream into the chemical feed distributor. One or more walls of the body may define an elongated chemical feed stream flow path. The plurality of primary chemical feed outlets may be spaced along at least a portion of the length of the elongated chemical feed stream flow path and may be operable to pass a first portion of the chemical feed stream out of the feed distributor and into a vessel. The secondary chemical feed outlet may be downstream of the plurality of primary chemical feed outlets and may be operable to pass a second portion of the chemical feed stream out of the chemical feed distributor.
Molecular sieve-based catalyst modification apparatus, and method
The present application discloses a molecular sieve-based catalyst modification apparatus. The apparatus comprises a feed unit 1, a modification unit 2 and a cooling unit 3 connected in sequence; the feed unit comprises a catalyst feed unit 11 and a modifier feed unit 12, a catalyst and a modifier are introduced into the modification unit 2 respectively by the catalyst feed unit and the modifier feed unit and are discharged from the modification unit after sufficient reaction in modification unit, and then enter the cooling unit 3 for cooling. The present application further discloses a use method for the molecular sieve-based catalyst modification apparatus. The use method comprises: introducing a catalyst and a modifier into the modification unit 2 respectively through the feed unit 1; wherein the catalyst is modified by the modifier in the modification unit 2, and then discharged to the cooling unit 3 to cool until the temperature is lower than 50° C., and then the cooled modified catalyst is transferred to any storage device.
