The first lighting structure may be configured to provide light to the at least one plant through at least the first side. The first set of mechanical devices may be configured to enable movement at least along an axis substantially perpendicular to the first side.

A light system may be positioned between two adjacent plant support structures such that it simultaneously provides light to the exterior surface of the two plant support structures. A collapsible light may be positioned adjacent plants and plant support structures for improved access to the plants or plant support structures while allowing variable and controllable light distribution beneficial to control of adjacent plants and plant structures.

A holder, which comprises a strap, is coupled to the positioner. The strap is variably couplable to the holder to form a loop. The rod is configured to insert vertically into the planting bed proximate to a stem of a plant requiring support. The positioner is variably couplable to the rod such that the positioner is positionable at a required height relative to the stem. The strap is configured to position around the stem of the plant and to couple to the holder to form the loop. The loop extends from the holder around the stem of the plant to support the plant.

A free-standing vertical structure is described including at least one wall structure having a plurality of live plants removably secured thereto. The wall structures may also include non-botanic media in combination with the plurality of plants such as traditional media, to form a new mixed media format for conveying information, herein referred to as botanic media. The plurality of plants may be configured to surround the non-botanic media to create a frame or border. The plants may also be arranged and configured to display information themselves. The non-botanic media and/or plants are configured on the wall structure to convey information readily perceivable by a passerby. The plants are preferably hydroponically-fed with nutrients and water from an irrigation system.
