Method for Producing Metal Oxide Powder
The present disclosure relates to a method for producing a porous metal oxide powder, and more particularly, to a method for producing a porous metal oxide powder including obtaining metal oxide precipitate slurry from an aqueous metal salt solution dissolving a water-soluble metal salt in water; solvent exchanging the water by mixing a butanol solvent and the metal oxide precipitate slurry; and drying the solvent exchanged metal oxide under atmospheric pressure conditions.

Preparation of a catalyst that comprises an active phase of at least one metal of group VIM that is deposited on an oxide substrate, a) An oxide substrate that comprises alumina, silica, or a silica-alumina is provided; b) The oxide substrate of step a) is impregnated by an aqueous or organic solution that comprises at least one metal salt of group VIM that is selected from among cobalt, nickel, ruthenium, and iron, and then the product that is obtained is dried at a temperature of between 60 and 200° C.;
A treatment under water vapor of the solid that is obtained in step b) is carried out at a temperature of between 110 and 195° C. for a length of time of between 30 minutes and 4 hours, in the presence of an air/vapor mixture that comprises between 2 and 50% by volume of water in vapor form.

A method of preparing a catalyst for oxidative dehydrogenation that includes coprecipitation and injecting inert gas or air at a specific time point to reduce the ratio of an inactive α-Fe.sub.2O.sub.3 crystal structure, thereby improving the activity of the catalyst. Also provided is a method of performing oxidative dehydrogenation using the catalyst. When oxidative dehydrogenation of butene is performed using the catalyst, side reaction may be reduced, and selectivity for butadiene may be improved, providing butadiene with high productivity.
HIGH ACTIVITY AND HIGH DISTILLATE YIELD HYDROCRACKING CATALYSTS WITH INTIMATE INTERACTION BETWEEN UNSUPPORTED METAL OXIDE AND ZEOLITE
A hydroprocessing catalyst with improved performance has been produced that involves an intimately mixed unsupported metal oxide with a zeolite or other acid function. The intimate mixing allows an intimate interaction between the unsupported metal oxide and the acid function. The hydroprocessing catalyst may be used alone or may be incorporated with a portion of a conventional hydrocracking catalyst.
