Customizable memorabilia cover
A customizable memorabilia cover has front and back substantially rectangular leafboard members coupled to a spine member. Elastic bands may be coupled one each at the distal and proximal ends of the elastic bands substantially to the outer corners of the rectangular leafboard members. The elastic bands are disposed acutely from the edges of the rectangular leafboard members and designed to receive the corners of a book cover of a book therethrough, the book contained within the front and back leafboard members substantially abutted by the spine member. At least one groove member of the front leafboard member has a closed base and closed side members. A substantially transparent cover member is contiguously coupled to a top portion of the side members to define an ash container assembly. An alternative embodiment includes a covering or enclosing member that holds an electronic handheld device removably coupled to the back leafboard member.
BED INTERFACE FOR MANUAL LOCATION
A graphical user interface (GUI) of a patient bed is used by a caregiver to manually enter location data indicative of a location in a healthcare facility at which the patient bed is located. A first screen for manually entering location data is displayed on the GUI after a threshold period of time elapses subsequent to a power plug of the patient bed being plugged into an alternating current (AC) outlet of the healthcare facility and subsequent to casters of the patient bed being braked. A voice prompt is also given from the patient bed after the threshold period of time elapses to remind the caregiver to manually enter the location data. After manual entry of the location data, circuitry of the patient bed transmits the location data entered by the caregiver and a bed identification (ID) from the bed for receipt by a remote computer for purposes of making a bed-to-room association.
Patient support apparatus having urinary drainage bag lockout feature
A patient support apparatus includes an upper frame that is movable to raise and lower relative to a base frame frame. A mattress support deck is coupled to the upper frame and includes a foot deck section. The foot deck section is movable with respect to the rest of the mattress support deck to raise and lower. A drainage bag support is coupled to the foot deck section and is configured to support a drainage bag. Control circuitry controls movement of the upper frame and the foot deck section. The control circuitry has a lockout mode to limit the movement of the upper frame and foot deck section to prevent the drainage bag from touching a floor.
Assembly, configured to detect a body on a support
The present invention relates to an assembly, configured to detect a body on a support, comprising: the support having a body receiving surface configured to receive the body; an array of sensors that is arranged at a distance relative to the body receiving surface of the support and comprising: a plurality of presence detectors; at least one liveliness detector; and a controller configured to detect the presence of a living person based on measurement signals of both the presence detectors and the at least one liveliness detector.
INFLATION IDENTIFICATION CONNECTOR AND AIR MATTRESS SYSTEM HAVING SAME
An inflation identification connector and an air mattress system having the same is provided. The inflation identification connector is insertable into a connection seat of a gas delivery host. The connection seat has a light detection component coupled to a controller disposed in the gas delivery host. The inflation identification connector includes a body and an identification structure. The detection result of the light detection component depends on the identification structure and thus is conducive to identification. Upon its insertion into the connection seat, the inflation identification connector is identified by the gas delivery host, enhancing ease of use and protecting manual operation against mistakes. The gas delivery host is not only applicable to different types of air mattresses but also conducive to streamlined management of the air mattress system and reduction of management costs and risks.
Garment and bedding for identifying a medical procedure site
A color coded garment and color coded bedding can be used in a medical setting to identify the location of a medical procedure to take place. A medical patient would wear a specific color coded garment that identifies, through color, the location of a medical procedure to take place. The medical patient's bedding would also reflect this location using a similar color coded identification mechanism. The combination of the two (garment and bedding) provide unmistakable visual indicia that will help limit or reduce wrong site medical procedures.
DYNAMIC FOAM MATTRESS ADAPTED FOR USE WITH A VARIABLE LENGTH HOSPITAL BED
A non-powered mattress including a cover enclosing a frame structure and a bladder assembly, the cover adapted to engage an articulated frame to control movement of portions of the foam frame and the bladder assembly in response to movement of the articulated frame.
MOLDED PLASTIC FILM ARTICLE, MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND BLISTER
A plastic foil molded part for a blister, in particular a tablet blister, comprises a transparent carrier substrate having a semitransparent function layer. The semitransparent function layer is constituted such that the plastic foil molded part has a first, visually recognizable color upon viewing in incident light and has a second, visually recognizable color upon viewing in transmitted light.
Slingbar with Multi-Sling Compatibility
A slingbar assembly for supporting a patient includes at least a first slingbar. The first slingbar includes a load bearing frame, at least two spanwisely fixed spacers attached to the frame on opposite sides of a centerplane, and a hub attached to the frame spanwisely between two of the spacers. The slingbar assembly also includes a a strap assembly engaged with the hub. The hub is operable to increase or decrease a working length of the strap assembly. Another embodiment of the slingbar assembly includes a second slingbar substantially the same as the first slingbar, and a connector extending longitudinally between and connected to the slingbars. The connector includes an attachment fixture selectively positionable along the length of the connector so that when the slingbar assembly is supported by a support structure the position of a patient's center of gravity relative to the slingbar assembly can be adjusted.
Color-coded buckle straps for a wheelchair
The color-coded buckle straps for a wheelchair is an active restraint system. The color-coded buckle straps for a wheelchair is configured for use with a wheelchair. The color-coded buckle straps for a wheelchair secure a patient to the wheelchair. Each of the plurality of harnesses further comprises a buckle. Each buckle further comprises a male component and a female component. The buckle for each harness selected from the plurality of harnesses is selected such that the color of the buckle of any harness selected from the plurality of harnesses is different from the buckle of each unselected harness remaining within the plurality of harnesses. The color-coded buckle straps for a wheelchair comprises a chest harness, a waist harness, a pelvic harness, and a lower harness. The chest harness, the waist harness, the pelvic harness, and the lower harness are attached to the wheelchair.
