Novel Topical Skin Closure Compositions and Systems
Novel compositions and systems for closure of wounds are disclosed. The compositions provide devices of improved flexibility and elasticity and are readily applied to wound sites or over wound closure devices. The present invention is also directed to a novel platinum catalyst for use in such compositions. The catalyst provides for rapid curing on topical surfaces such as skin and bonds to such surfaces in about 2-5 minutes.
Metallocenes with Si—Si bridges
The present disclosure provides bridged metallocene catalyst compounds comprising —Si—Si— bridges, catalyst systems comprising such compounds, and uses thereof. Catalyst compounds of the present disclosure can be hafnium-containing compounds having one or more cyclopentadiene ligand(s) substituted with one or more silyl neopentyl groups and linked with an Si—Si-containing bridge. In another class of embodiments, the present disclosure is directed to polymerization processes to produce polyolefin polymers from catalyst systems comprising one or more olefin polymerization catalysts, at least one activator, and an optional support.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION FOR AUTOMOBILE TRANSMISSION FLUIDS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A lubricating oil composition for automobile transmissions including a lubricant base oil, and a liquid random copolymer of ethylene and α-olefin, the liquid random copolymer being produced using a specific catalyst, wherein the lubricating oil composition has a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 4.0 to 7.5 mm.sup.2/s, and a Brookfield viscosity at −40° C. of 20,000 mPa.Math.s or less, and wherein the lubricant base oil consists of a mineral oil with a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 2 to 10 mm.sup.2/s, a viscosity index of 105 or more, and a pour point of −10° C. or lower, and/or a synthetic oil with a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 1 to 10 mm.sup.2/s, a viscosity index of 120 or more, and a pour point of −30° C. or lower.
NANOPARTICLES OF CO COMPLEXES OF ZERO-VALENT METALS THAT CAN BE USED AS HYDROSILYLATION AND DEHYDROGENATIVE SILYLATION CATALYSTS
Nanoparticles that can be used as hydrosilylation and dehydrogenative silylation catalysts. The nanoparticles have at least one transition metal with an oxidation state of 0, chosen from the metals of columns 8, 9 and 10 of the periodic table, and at least one carbonyl ligand, preferably a silicide.
Inhibitors of hydrosilylation catalysts
A composition containing the following components: (a) a hydrosilylation catalyst comprising a metal-ligand complex, and (b) an inhibitor of the catalyst, wherein the inhibitor differs from the ligand of the metal-ligand complex and is represented by formula (I):

Rapid cure silicone lubricious coatings
Novel, lubricious coatings for medical devices are disclosed. The coatings provide improved lubricity and durability, and are readily applied in coating processes. The present invention is also directed to a novel platinum catalyst for use in such coatings. The catalyst provides for rapid curing, while inhibiting cross-linking at ambient temperatures, thereby improving the production pot life of the coatings.
METAL-METAL BONDED AMMONIA OXIDATION CATALYSTS
Methods and catalysts for oxidizing ammonia to nitrogen are described. Specifically, diruthenium complexes that spontaneously catalyze this reaction are disclosed. Accordingly, the disclosed methods and catalysts can be used in various electrochemical cell-based energy storage and energy production applications that could form the basis for a potential nitrogen economy.
Method for manufacturing photocatalytic filter having porous nanofiber heterostructure
A method for preparing a porous nano-fiber heterostructure photocatalytic filter screen includes: preparing a noble metal nanostructure with tunable spectra and a heterostructure composite photocatalyst of a photocatalytic material; and preparing a large area and multilayer porous nano-fiber filter screen structure, while utilizing a scattering enhancement effect of metal nanoparticles in an porous optical fiber to realize repeated conduction of sunlight in the optical fiber and finally interact with the composite photocatalyst on a surface to improve photocatalytic efficiency. Preparation of the heterostructure composite photocatalyst with a wide spectral response of and tunable visible to infrared band spectra is realized, at the same time, with reference to high adsorbability, high light transmission of nanometer fiber and unique optical characteristics of metal nanoparticles, an air purification filter screen with a high sunlight utilization rate and a high catalytic degradation capability is creatively provided.

The disclosure provides a catalyst system and a method for ethylene oligomerization using this. The catalyst system contains: ligand a, containing carbene groups of imidazole ring type; transition metal compound b, that is one of IVB˜VIII group metal compounds; activator c, that is a compound containing III A group metals; the ligand a contains at least one group as shown in general formula I: ##STR00001##
in which, bridging group A contains a main chain including alkyl, alkenyl, aryl groups or the combination of them and the first heteratom; E is a linear or cyclic group containing the second heteroatom; R is a hydrocarbyl group. The catalyst system is especially used for trimerization and tetramerization of ethylene. The catalyst system has high selectivity for 1-hexene and 1-octene, low selectivity for 1-butene and 1-C.sub.10+, and the total percent content of C.sub.6˜C.sub.8 linear □α-olefin in the product is more than 90% by mass.
