A first electronic reader is coupled to the sling bar near the first attachment hook. A second electronic reader is coupled to the sling bar near the second attachment hook. Each of a plurality of short range wireless tags is coupled to a respective one of the plurality of loops.
Systems and methods for generating and/or adjusting a repositioning schedule for a person
A system for monitoring medical conditions including pressure ulcers, pressure-induced ischemia and related medical conditions comprises at least one sensor adapted to detect one or more patient characteristic including at least position, orientation, temperature, acceleration, moisture, resistance, stress, heart rate, respiration rate, and blood oxygenation, a host for processing the data received from the sensors together with historical patient data to develop an assessment of patient condition and suggested course of treatment. In some embodiments, the system can further include a support surface having one or more sensors incorporated therein either in addition to sensors affixed to the patient or as an alternative thereof. The support surface is, in some embodiments, capable of responding to commands from the host for assisting in implementing a course of action for patient treatment. The sensor can include bi-axial or tri-axial accelerometers, as well as resistive, inductive, capactive, magnetic and other sensing devices, depending on whether the sensor is located on the patient or the support surface, and for what purpose.
MEDICAL CART
A medical cart is provided that allows confirmation that individual medicines have been managed at appropriate temperatures. The medical cart includes: shelves on which medicines can be placed; and a control part which communicates with an RF tag provided for each of the medicines and equipped with a temperature sensor, at appropriate time intervals via an antenna part provided in the vicinity of each of the shelves, and the control part has a memory part which stores ID information of the RF tag and temperature information sensed by a temperature sensor of the RF tag.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR INERTIAL MEASUREMENT OF PRESSURE MANAGEMENT MOVEMENTS
Exemplary systems and methods associated with pressure management system for a user of a wheelchair. The systems and methods utilize an apparatus attached directly to the user for detecting and transmitting the inertial movement of the user. Various methods of generating pressure relief data and information associated with pressure points/pressure point relief of the user based on the actual movements of the user are disclosed.
Systems and methods for monitoring the attachment and/or positioning of a wearable of a sensor device
Hospital headwall communication system
A patient support apparatus includes a first transceiver adapted to wirelessly communicate with a second transceiver of a headwall interface that is positioned off of the patient support apparatus. A communication link is automatically established between the first and second transceivers without requiring a user of the patient support apparatus to activate a designated control and without requiring the user to identify the headwall interface. The first transceiver includes a unique identifier assigned to the headwall interface in its messages to the headwall interface. The first transceiver may also automatically transmit a disconnect signal to the headwall interface indicating the termination of the communication link is not accidental. The disconnect signal is sent based on one or more of the following: (1) a brake being off, (2) an A/C power cord being unplugged; and/or (3) a signal strength between the transceivers decreasing.
RAIL-MOUNTED LIFT SYSTEMS WITH LOCATION TRACKING, SUBJECT TRACKING, AND USER TRACKING CAPABILITIES
Rail-mounted lift systems, systems comprising the same, and kits of parts for retrofitting rail-mounted lift systems are disclosed. A lift system includes a rail having a carriage support channel formed therein, a carriage slidably disposed in the carriage support channel for relative movement to the rail, a lift unit coupled to the carriage, the lift unit having a motor that extends and retracts a lifting strap, and a locating system having a first component and a second component separate from the first component. One of the first and second components is a transmitter providing a code that corresponds to a predetermined location and the other is a receiver detecting the code when the first and second components are moved in proximity to one another due to movement of the carriage along the rail.
