METHANE PRODUCING METHOD AND PRODUCTION SYSTEM
A method for producing methane that includes supplying a raw material gas containing hydrogen gas, oxygen gas, and carbon dioxide gas to a reactor provided with a catalyst, thereby starting a methanation reaction using heat including reaction heat due to catalyst combustion of the hydrogen gas; and continuing the methanation reaction.
Process for generating a mixed multicomponent vapor for preparation of monoalkyl ethers of diphenols
This invention comprises a process and a system thereof comprising apparatuses for developing multi-component vapor mixture by heating of solution of reactants comprising one or more of diphenols, or diphenol derivatives, and an organic compound, wherein the organic compound is one which upon reacting in a vapor state in presence of a catalyst with diphenols, or diphenol derivatives, produces a monoalkyl ether of a dihydric phenolic compound; and wherein the entire solution of reactants completely transforms into a super-heated multi-component vapor using heaters without the use of thin film evaporator. The complete transformation of the entire solution of said reactants in to super-heated multicomponent vapor is achieved by heating the entire solution firstly by a pre-heater followed by further heating by a super-heater, further comprising removal of the condensed high boilers and tar to drain, and subjecting the superheated vapor to vapor phase reaction mediated by catalyst to get monoalkyl ether of a dihydric phenolic compound.
Four-way conversion catalyst having improved filter properties
A four-way conversion catalyst for treating a gasoline engine exhaust gas has a porous wall flow filter substrate with an inlet end, outlet end, substrate axial length extending between the inlet and outlet end, and passages defined by porous internal walls of the substrate, the passages having inlet passages with an open inlet and closed outlet, and outlet passages having a closed inlet and open outlet. The internal wall pores have a three-way conversion catalytic in-wall coating with an oxygen storage compound and a platinum group metal supported on a refractory metal oxide. On at least a portion of the internal wall surface defining the interface between the internal walls and the passages, the catalyst has a porous on-wall coating from the internal wall surface to the passage. The coating has porous oxidic compound and platinum group metal content of 0 to 0.001 wt. %, of the total coating weight.
Ultrasound-assisted method for producing an SCR catalytic converter
The present invention relates to a method for producing automobile exhaust gas catalytic converters, to the catalytic converters as such and to the use thereof. In particular, the method comprises a step which results in a smaller particle size of the catalytically active material used.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING (METH)ACROLEIN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING (METH)ACRYLIC ACID
A method for producing (meth)acrolein by vapor-phase catalytic oxidation of propylene or isobutylene in a multitubular reactor including a plurality of reaction tubes, the reaction tubes each including a reaction zone filled with a catalyst including molybdenum oxide and a cooling zone filled with an inert substance, wherein a temperature of a heat medium that flows outside the cooling zone is lower than a temperature of a heat medium that flows outside the reaction zone, and wherein the inert substance includes an inert substance having a major-axis length that is equal to or more than 1.7 times a major-axis length of the catalyst. A method for producing (meth)acrylic acid in which (meth)acrolein thus produced is converted to (meth)acrylic acid by vapor-phase catalytic oxidation.
CATALYST FOR CATALYTIC OXIDATIVE CRACKING OF HYDROGEN SULPHIDE WITH CONCURRENT HYDROGEN PRODUCTION
Disclosed is a catalyst suitable for the catalytic oxidative cracking of a H.sub.2S- containing gas stream. The catalyst comprises at least one or more active metals selected from the group consisting of iron, cobalt, and nickel, supported by a carrier comprising ceria and alumina. The active metal is preferably in the form of its sulphide. Also disclosed is a method for the production of hydrogen from a H.sub.2S-containing gas stream, comprising subjecting the gas stream to catalytic oxidative cracking so as to form H.sub.2 and S.sub.2, using a catalyst in accordance with any one of the composition claims.
Method for obtaining a photocatalytic polymer
A method for obtaining a photocatalytic polymer is provided. The method is carried out by mixing aluminium trihydroxide (ATH) and a photocatalytic particle in a polar solvent at a pH between 5 and 7 under stirring, adding silane or siloxane, stirring for a period of time of 100 min at a temperature between 30 and 50° C., extracting the solid phase being formed and drying for obtaining a photocatalytic additive, adding the photocatalytic additive to an acrylic or polyester resin and polymerizing. The method may be applied onto any type of polymer base, such as vinyl, fluoropolymers, polyamide, polycarbonates, polyethylene or epoxides. Another aspect of the invention is the photocatalytic additive being obtained. The resulting polymer shows catalytic homogeneity, operating the photocatalytic particles in all the surfaces of the material with the same activity.
