A method for activating an oxidic fresh hydroprocessing catalyst or the catalytically active material of a spent hydroprocessing catalyst comprising a refractory oxide support and one or more base metals selected from Ni, Co, Mo and W comprises optionally regenerating the catalyst, adjusting an aqueous activating solution, which contains an organic acid, to pH > 3 with an alkaline additive, impregnating the catalytically active material with the pH-adjusted aqueous activating solution, and heat-treating the catalyst at a temperature of 120-450° C.
Method for producing oxide catalyst, and method for producing unsaturated nitrile and unsaturated acid
The present invention provides a method for producing an oxide catalyst containing antimony, comprising a step (A) of obtaining the oxide catalyst using antimony particles containing a diantimony trioxide as a source of the antimony, wherein an abundance of a pentavalent antimony in a surface layer of the antimony particle to be measured in XPS analysis is less than 70 atom %, and the antimony particle has an average particle size of 1.2 μm or less.
Process for preparing an epoxidation catalyst
A process for preparing a silver-containing catalyst for the oxidation of ethylene to ethylene oxide (EO) including the steps of: providing a support having pores; providing a silver-containing impregnation solution; adding an amount of surfactant to the impregnation solution; contacting the support with the surfactant-containing impregnation solution; and removing at least a portion of the impregnation solution prior to fixing the silver upon the carrier in a manner which preferentially removes impregnation solution not contained in the pores. The use of the surfactant results in improved drainage of the silver impregnation solution from the carrier exteriors during the catalyst synthesis. As a result, the amount of silver-containing impregnation solution necessary for the synthesis of the EO catalyst was reduced by up to 15% without reducing the catalyst performance.
Method for preparing a catalyst and using the catalyst for wastewater treatment
A catalyst for wastewater treatment is disclosed. The catalyst includes a porous carrier, iron oxide impregnated into the pores of the porous carrier, and platinum impregnated into the pores and mixed with the iron oxide in the pores. Also disclosed are a method for preparing the catalyst and a method for wastewater treatment using the catalyst.
PRECIOUS METAL-SUPPORTED EGGSHELL CATALYST AS WELL AS PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF
A precious metal-supported eggshell catalyst with a preparation method and an application are provided. The precious metal-supported eggshell catalyst includes a carrier, a precious metal and a promoter. As an active component, the precious metal and the promoter are evenly distributed on surface of the carrier, wherein the promoter includes one or more than two of a precious metal, an alkaline earth metal, a transition metal lanthanide series metal, an actinium series metal and/or a metal oxide thereof. With a highly utilization of the precious metal, the precious metal-supported eggshell catalyst showed high conversion, good selectivity and excellent stability, and the precious metal-supported eggshell catalyst is used more than 300 hours with no obvious loss of activity in preparing 1,3-propanediol through hydrogenation of 3-hydroxypropionaldehyde aqueous solution. Furthermore, with large particles the precious metal-supported eggshell catalyst is easily separated from reaction products.
