A PROCESS FOR REACTING OXYGEN CARRYING REGENERATED CATALYST PRIOR TO USE IN A FLUIDIZED BED REACTOR
A process to react an oxygen containing regenerated catalyst stream prior to use in a fluidized bed reactor comprising providing a regenerated catalyst stream which comprises at least 0.001 wt % oxygen; reacting the regenerated catalyst stream with a fuel source thereby forming oxides and reducing the amount of oxygen in the regenerated catalyst stream to produce a usable regenerated catalyst stream; and injecting the usable regenerated catalyst stream into a hydrocarbon fluidized bed reactor is provided.

Embedded alkane dehydrogenation systems and processes
Systems for dehydrogenating an alkane are provided. An exemplary system includes a furnace and further includes alkane heating chambers, regeneration mixture heating chambers, and two groups of reaction chambers, all located within the furnace. The alkane heating chambers and regeneration mixture heating chambers can preheat an alkane feed and a regeneration mixture feed, respectively. The two groups of reaction chambers can be switchably coupled to an alkane feed and a regeneration mixture feed such that an alkane can flow through one group of reaction chambers while a regeneration mixture flows through the other group of reaction chambers. Processes for dehydrogenating an alkane are also provided.

LEAD SULFIDE AS ALKANE DEHYDROGENATION CATALYST
A catalyst for the dehydrogenation of alkanes to alkenes comprises lead(II) sulfide (PbS) as catalytically active material supported on a carrier. The dehydrogenation is carried out at a temperature between 500 and 650 C. and at a pressure from 0.5 bar below ambient pressure to 5 bar above ambient pressure.
ACTIVATION OF NOBLE METAL CATALYSTS ON SILICEOUS SUPPORTS
Systems and methods are provided for activation of noble metal catalysts that are supported on siliceous supports. The activation method can include limiting the amount of water vapor pressure and/or the time of exposure to the water vapor pressure during heating of the catalyst at temperatures of 50 C. or less. This can be achieved by introducing heated gas into multiple reactors of a multi-reactor system at the same time. A suitable system for introducing heated gas into multiple reactors can correspond to a system with multiple heated hydrogen lines for delivery of heated hydrogen to a plurality of reactors within a multi-reactor system.
Fischer-tropsch synthesis
A method (10) of synthesizing Fischer-Tropsch products (20) includes feeding a synthesis gas (30) to a moving-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reactor (16) containing a Fischer-Tropsch catalyst in a moving catalyst bed and catalytically converting at least a portion of the synthesis gas (30) in the moving catalyst bed to Fischer-Tropsch products (20). The Fischer-Tropsch products (20) are removed from the moving-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reactor (16). The method (10) further includes, while the moving-bed Fisher-Tropsch synthesis reactor (16) is on-line, withdrawing a portion (50) of the Fischer-Tropsch catalyst from the moving-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reactor (16), adding a reactivated Fischer-Tropsch catalyst (57, 58) to the moving-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reactor (16), and adding a fresh Fischer-Tropsch catalyst (60,58), in addition to the reactivated catalyst (57,58), to the moving-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reactor (16).
