Method for storage and release of hydrogen

The invention provides a process for the production of hydrogen, comprising catalytically decomposing a concentrated aqueous solution of potassium formate in a reaction vessel to form bicarbonate slurry and hydrogen, discharging the hydrogen from said reaction vessel, and treating a mixture comprising the bicarbonate slurry and the catalyst with an oxidizer, thereby regenerating the catalyst. Pd/C catalysts useful in the process are also described.

Method of regenerating used denitration catalyst

A used denitration catalyst is regenerated by means of a method comprising bringing the used denitration catalyst comprising titanium oxide as an essential ingredient into contact with a suspension of particles comprising manganese oxide, subjecting the resulting product to a liquid draining, and subjecting the liquid-drained product to a drying process, additionally, further comprising impregnating a solution comprising a compound containing at least one element selected from the group consisting of vanadium, molybdenum and tungsten into the denitration catalyst after the drying process, and subjecting the impregnated product to a drying treatment.

Combustion system for ships

A combustion system for ships operated at low cost is provided. A combustion system 1 for ships includes an internal combustion engine 20 that burns fuel, an exhaust line L2 through which exhaust gas flows, the exhaust gas being generated through combustion of the fuel in the internal combustion engine 20, an exhaust heat recovery device 40 that is disposed in the exhaust line L2 and that recovers exhaust heat from the exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine 20, and a denitration device 50 that is disposed in the exhaust line L2 and that removes nitrogen oxide from the exhaust gas using a denitration catalyst. The denitration device 50 is disposed downstream from the exhaust heat recovery device 40 in the exhaust line L2. The denitration catalyst contains 43 wt % or more of vanadium pentoxide and has a BET specific surface area of 30 m.sup.2/g or more.
