Disc opener scraper with insert for straw wrap prevention, wear reduction and seed guidance, and welded slot-positioned wing member
A unique scraper assembly for the disc of a furrow opener features an obstruction carried at inner side of the scraper body in a position trailing behind the leading scraper edge to prevent straw from accumulating in the space between the disc and scraper near the leading scraper edge, to block seed or other product delivered into the furrow from skipping forward into this space, to reduce wear on the leading scraper edge by increasing an area of pressured contact with the disc during side loading of the scraper, and/or provide lubricated contact with the disc to reduce rotational resistance during side loading. In some embodiments, the obstruction is defined by a separate insert of distinct material composition from the scraper. A discrete wing member is welded to the scraper at a pre-determined position thereon determined by fitting of the wing member into a mating slot in the scraper.

AGRICULTURAL SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING WING HOP OF AN AGRICULTURAL IMPLEMENT
An agricultural system for identifying wing hop may include an agricultural implement having a central frame section and a wing frame section pivotably coupled to the central frame section, with the central frame section and the wing frame section supporting a plurality of ground engaging tools configured to engage a field during an agricultural operation. The agricultural system further includes a wing sensor configured to generate data indicative of a draft force on the wing frame section during the agricultural operation. Additionally, the agricultural system includes a computing system communicatively coupled to the wing sensor, with the computing system being configured to monitor the draft force on the wing frame section based at least in part on the data generated by the wing sensor, and determine whether the wing frame section is experiencing wing hop based at least in part on the draft force on the wing frame section.

Variable Tooth Coulter Blade With Sized Inserts
A system and method are disclosed for cutting and increasing surface area of surface stubble material while contemporaneously cutting and aerating the soil. A discoidal coulter blade is configured with a plurality of circumferential teeth for cutting the surface stubble as well as reducing the downward pressure required for the blade to enter the type and depth of soil desired. The circular coulter blade is configured with a plurality of inserts oriented normal to the rotational movement of the blade as the blade cuts the soil. Each insert is shaped to aerate a specific type of soil anticipated by an operator. The inserts are positioned on the blade for desired impact with the soil and angled in placement on the blade to maintain the desired effect on the soil.

CONCENTRATED HIGH-SPEED RIGID HUB
A concentrated high-speed rigid hub allows for heavier planters, high-speed planting and seeding devices in multiple and multiple challenging applications such as No-Till, High CEC soils, Compact Soils, Moist soils, High concentrations of Stubble and or Bt crops, and Cover or Green crops with massive structured root systems. The hub is made of one of high strength forging steel and medium carbon cast steel, whereby the hub lessons hub flexing, hub bending, cracking and premature failure. The hub comprises rigid, heavy duty deep bosses or gussets which increase structural strength and maximize the strength of attachment points adapted for either bolts or rivets attachment to a blade or object.
