Disk assembly with multi-plane angle adjustment and related systems and methods
A disk assembly for agricultural implements comprises a disk hanger including a proximal end and a distal end opposite the proximal end. The disk assembly further includes a hanger spindle supported relative to the distal end of the disk hanger for rotation about a first axis of rotation, and a blade spindle supported relative to the hanger spindle, with the blade spindle being rotatable about a second axis of rotation oriented non-parallel relative to the first axis of rotation. Additionally, the disk assembly includes a blade coupled to the blade spindle for rotation therewith about the second axis of rotation. Moreover, the disk assembly is configured such that rotation of the hanger spindle relative to the disk hanger about the first axis of rotation results in an adjustment of both an angle-of-engagement and a camber angle of the blade.

DISC BLADES ON WALKING TANDEM MOUNTING
A tilling implement is provided. The tilling implement includes a row bar and a mounting bracket coupled to the row bar. The tilling implement also includes a pair of disc blades coupled to the mounting bracket via a tandem mount, wherein the pair of disc blades are axially offset from each other along a longitudinal axis of the tandem mount.
Variable tooth coulter blade with sized inserts
A system and method are disclosed for cutting and increasing surface area of surface stubble material while contemporaneously cutting and aerating the soil. A discoidal coulter blade is configured with a plurality of circumferential teeth for cutting the surface stubble as well as reducing the downward pressure required for the blade to enter the type and depth of soil desired. The circular coulter blade is configured with a plurality of inserts oriented normal to the rotational movement of the blade as the blade cuts the soil. Each insert is shaped to aerate a specific type of soil anticipated by an operator. The inserts are positioned on the blade for desired impact with the soil and angled in placement on the blade to maintain the desired effect on the soil.

Gauge wheel and universal scraper for use with a conventional row planter assembly
A scraper for removing soil or debris from at least one of an opening disk and a gauge wheel on a planter assembly, the scraper comprising: a scraper blade formed from a first material, wherein the scraper blade comprises a scraping edge; and a wear-resistant surface disposed on the scraper blade, wherein the wear-resistant surface is disposed on the scraper blade in a position spaced from the scraping edge of the scraper blade.
Adjustable disk mounting assembly
An agricultural implement has a ground opening and closing assembly that readily allows for adjustment of a pair of closing disks into different, discreet or infinitely variable, home positions that vary in height, disk spacing and fore/aft dimension. In one form, a pair of disk mounts have a pair of mounting receptacles for each support arm. Each support arm is configured to be inserted into one of the receptacles to set the height and fore/aft position of the associated closing disk. Mounting openings can be formed in the disk mounts and the support arms, and a simple pin mechanism received in aligned mounting openings can effect manual disk adjustment without tools. The disk mounts and the support arms can have multiple mounting openings spaced apart differently from the ground opening member to vary the spacing between the closing disks.
Wheel or Disc Scraper and Agricultural Implement Featuring Same
A scraper employs a support arm for mounting to a frame of an agricultural implement and a frustoconically bowl-shaped scraper member rotatably supported on the support arm in a position facing the open end of the bowl toward a ground-engaging wheel or disc. Different embodiment disclose unique mounting arrangements, including embodiments where a bearing has its outer race affixed to a closed end wall of the bowl, a bushing is fastened between the inner race of the bearing and a support arm situated outside the bowl to support the bowl in a manner rotatable about the bushing at an axial distance from the support arm, and a separate outer sleeve is disposed around the bushing in a freely rotatable manner to prevent wrapped straw accumulation between the bowl and the support arm during rotating use of the scraper.
Gauge wheel and universal scraper for use with a conventional row planter assembly
A ground opening disc scraper assembly comprising: a scraper arm having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the proximal end is configured for mounting to a support structure; a scraper blade; and a tensioning clip for yieldably mounting the scraper blade to the distal end of the scraper arm.
