At the proximity of the second end of the first and second elongated frame parts (11, 21) is arranged a locking mechanism (24) configured to enable connecting together and disconnecting the first and second elongated frame parts (11, 21).
Ambulance vehicle and method for providing an ambulance vehicle
An embodiment is directed to an ambulance vehicle, especially mobile stroke unit. The embodiment of the ambulance vehicle includes a support structure within an interior space of the ambulance vehicle for supporting a cot or stretcher used for transporting the patient. The embodiment of the ambulance vehicle further includes an actuator for tilting the support structure and/or the support structure being at least partially housed in a recess formed in a floor of the interior space.
Patient support with improved control
A patient support includes a frame, a patient support surface supported at the frame, a display incorporated into the frame, and a user interface incorporated into the frame. The patient support frame includes a controller incorporated into the frame, which has a plurality of prompts stored therein. The user interface is in communication with the controller and may be used to select a selected prompt from the plurality of prompts stored in the controller. When a prompt is selected, the controller generates a display image or text associated with the selected prompt at the display in response to a passage of time or an input to provide a visual prompt to the user.
CT imaging systems
New and improved CT imaging systems are presented which improve the ability to deploy CT imaging in a mobile setting, such as in an ambulatory setting or as part of a mobile hospital unit. Improvements disclosed include implementation of an internal drive system for moving a scanner component relative to a fixed or static platform/base, improved modularity of components for quick maintenance/repair and the inclusion of an integrated patient alignment mechanism connected directly to the CT system.
Linkage mechanisms for mounting robotic arms to a surgical table
In some embodiments, an apparatus can include a surgical table and an adapter coupled thereto. The adapter includes an interface structure, a first link member coupled to a second link member, and a third link member coupled to a fourth link member. The first link member and the third link member are each pivotally coupled to the interface mechanism at a shared first pivot joint. The second link member and the fourth link member are each coupleable to a robotic arm. The first link member and the second link member collectively provide for movement of the first robotic arm in at least one of a lateral, longitudinal or vertical direction relative to the table top. The third link member and the fourth link member collectively provide for movement of the second robotic arm in at least one of a lateral, longitudinal or vertical direction relative to the table top.
Nonmetallic wheelchair
A nonmetallic wheelchair including a frame, left and right armrests, a footrest, left and right rear wheels, left and right front wheels, and, left and right handles. The frame includes main left and right panels, aback section, and a seat section. The back section is coupled to the main left and right panels, and to the seat section. The seat section is coupled to the main left and right panels. The left and right armrests are pivotally coupled to the main left and right panels, respectively. The footrest is pivotally coupled to the main left and right panels. The left rear and front wheels are coupled to the main left panel. The right rear and front wheels are coupled to the main right panel. The left and right handles are coupled to the frame. The nonmetallic wheelchair is completely made of transparent nonmetallic materials.
CT IMAGING APPARATUS
The invention relates, in particular, to features of an apparatus applicable for use in the context of dental or medical CT imaging. The apparatus comprises a two longitudinally extending frame parts 11, 21, a support construction 12 for an X-ray source 14 and an image detector 15 and a first driving mechanism 16 arranged to move them about a rotation axis 13. A patient support 18 comprising a patient support surface 184 is mechanically connected to the first of the substantially longitudinally extending frame parts 11, which extends substantially in parallel with the first longitudinally extending frame part 11 and having at, or at the proximity of its two edges 181 which extend in the same direction as the first longitudinally extending frame part 11 i) at least one support element 183 or ii) at least one connecting construction 182 for at least one support element 83, the support element 183 being an accessory designed for a patient to hold on or help the patient to be still during an imaging exposure, or to help keeping a patient be still.
LATERAL SPINE SURGERY TOP FOR TWO COLUMN OPERATING TABLE
A surgical table includes a pair of lift columns. A table top extends between each of the pair of lift columns. The table top forms a patient support surface configured to receive a patient. The table top includes a head section, a leg section, and a torso section extending between the head section and the leg section. At least one retention pad extends from the table top and is configured to position against the patient. An arm rest extends from the head section and is configured to receive an arm of the patient.
TRAUMA GURNEY WITH ENHANCED PATIENT TRANSFER CAPABILITIES
A trauma gurney includes a base connected to a frame by a vertical adjustment mechanism. The base is configured that it can be maneuvered over a receiving table. The frame holds a detachable platform suitable for the positioning of a patient thereon. Actuation of the adjustment mechanism allows the frame to be lowered and the patient platform to be detached. The patient platform is configured to be non-interfering with various procedures such as MRI procedures so the patient platform can remain with the patient after the patient has been transferred without adverse effects to the procedures. The patient platform can also be reattached to the frame after it has been removed. The trauma gurney beneficially allows a patient to be transferred from the gurney to another surface, such as for imaging, without requiring a conventional lateral transfer. Similarly, the trauma gurney allows a patient to be transferred back to the gurney.
