SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING OPERATIONS OF AN ARTICLE OF FURNITURE

A system comprises a sensor zone comprising a cover layer comprising a first surface and a second surface that are opposite from one another. The first surface of the cover layer comprises a textured surface. A sensor unit is disposed on or adjacent to the second surface. The sensor unit is configured to detect a user's contacting the textured surface, and generate a digital data indicative of the detection. The system comprises a complex comprising one or more fluidic channels (e.g., tubes) disposed within one or more grooves of a support member (e.g., foam). The system comprises one or more sensors. The one or more sensor(s) is disposed over, in, or under the support member. The system is comprise a protective layer disposed adjacent to and covering a top surface of the support member.

Multi-zone temperature modulation system for bed or blanket

A temperature modulation system for a bed, blanket, or other furniture includes a fluid for moderating temperature change, a number of conduit circuits for directing the fluid through respective zones, a control unit including a thermoelectric device for modulating temperature of the fluid, and a pump. Each of the conduit circuits selectively and independently directs fluid through its respective zone in order to produce a temperature within the zone that is independent of the temperature outside the zone. The system also includes an arrangement of one or more zones in an arrangement in which the control unit is programmed to vary the zone.

A drawer includes insulation defining a climate-controlled insulated interior of the drawer, and a refrigeration system. The interior of the drawer may be divided into compartments having lids, and actuators may be provided for unlocking the lids. The actuators may include solenoids, which may be disposed outside the climate-controlled interior of the drawer. The drawer may include an air inlet, an outlet, and a fan. The fan may draw air through an air flow path defined at least in part by the insulation.

IMAGE-BASED PAIRING AND CONTROLLING OF DEVICES IN A CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT

An example method includes capturing images using a camera and detecting a medical device in a first image among the images. A request is transmitted to the medical device. Based on transmitting the request, the example method includes determining that the medical device has output a chirp signal in a second image among the images. Based on the chirp signal, the method includes causing the medical device to perform an action by transmitting a control message to the medical device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR TEMPERATURE REGULATION OF AN ARTICLE OF FURNITURE

Described herein are systems and methods (e.g., computer-implemented methods) for regulating the temperature of a bed device. The methods (e.g., computer-implemented methods) can regulate the temperature of the bed device based on biological sex, age, time of night, season, geolocation, and women's health.
