RESPIRATORY HUMIDIFIER COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A respiratory humidification system includes a humidifier that is capable of electronic communication with one or more other components of the system thereby permitting transfer of data or control signals between the humidifier and other components of the system. In some systems, a flow generator, such as a ventilator, is provided to supply a flow of breathing gas. The humidifier and the flow generator are capable of electronic communication with one another. In some arrangements, an operating mode or parameter of the humidifier to be set or confirmed by the flow generator, either automatically or manually through a user interface of the flow generator. The humidifier can also utilize data provided by the flow generator or other system component, such as an incubator, to set or confirm an operating mode or parameter of the humidifier. In some arrangements, a user interface of the humidifier can display data from another system component, such as a nebulizer or pulse oximeter.
FOAMED PATIENT TRANSPORT INCUBATOR
A patient transport incubator (PTI) suitable for MRI device having an open bore; the PTI comprises an inner volume having a first set of dimensions, adapted by means of shape and size to accommodate a patient or accommodate at least a portion of an MRI-compatible neonate's cradle, the inner volume is further covered by an envelope having a second set of dimensions, adapted by means of shape and size to be temporarily introduced within the open bore; wherein at least a portion of the envelope comprises MRI safe thermo-isolating and noise reducing foam. The invention will increase the safety and comfort of MRI scanning of neonates.
Autonomous wheelchair
The present teachings provide for wheelchair including a control module, manual drive controls, a camera, biometric sensors, and an antenna. The control module includes an autonomous drive module configured to autonomously pilot the wheelchair. The biometric sensors are configured to measure biometric information of a user of the wheelchair.
WHEELCHAIR SEAT CUSHION
A wheelchair seat cushion comprises a back pad module and a seat pad module which is connected with the back pad module. A resilient intermediate layer is provided within the back pad module and the seat pad module. A heat generating device is provided within in the resilient intermediate layer, wherein the heat generating device is positioned corresponding to at least one acupuncture point of a back of a user, and heat generated by the heat generating device is conducted to a body of the user via the at least one acupuncture point in order to keep the body of the user warm.
UNDERBODY WARMING SYSTEMS
Apparatus and methods related to an underbody support for supporting a body of a being, such as during surgery to prevent contact pressure injuries. In certain embodiments, the underbody support may include one or more inflatable chambers enclosing a volume. At least one of the inflatable chambers may include one or more compression sensitive switches for monitoring the volume of the inflatable chamber, and the one or more compression sensitive switches may be located within the inflatable chamber. In some embodiments the one or more compression sensitive switches are sized to close when the said inflatable chamber is deflated to a desired residual volume.
INTEGRATED BED FOR ORIENTAL MEDICINE THERAPY
An integrated bed for oriental medicine therapy according to an embodiment of the present invention is an integrated bed for oriental medicine therapy on which oriental medicine therapy for a patient is performed. The integrated bed for oriental medicine therapy comprises: a base bed body; a movable bed body which is coupled to the top of the base bed body so as to be rotatable about one side thereof so that the slope thereof with respect to the base bed body can be adjusted; and a driving part for generating a driving force for rotating the movable bed body with respect to the base bed body. The base bed body is partitioned into a plurality of spaces, and a therapy apparatus for treatment of a patient may be disposed in at least one space among the plurality of spaces.
MICRO-ENVIRONMENT MODULE ARCHITECTURE FOR INFANT CARE DEVICES
An infant care station that includes multiple operational modules that communicate with each other to carry out the infant care station functions. The multiple modules form part of a micro-environmental platform that allows for communication and power connections between all of the operational components required within the infant care station. The multiple modules communicate with each other utilizing a universal interface bus that includes power connections, communication connections and control connections between the multiple modules. Sensor data obtained by various sensors is stored using a standard data format. A data repository is included in one of the modules and is used to store sensor data obtained from the infant patient, operational protocols and other information needed to operate the infant care station. The data repository provides a central location for both data producers and data subscribers that are part of the micro-environment platform.
DEVICE FOR HEATING A PATIENT BEARING AREA OF AN OPERATING TABLE
Devices, arrangements, and methods for heating a patient bearing area of an operating table, including a heating element for heating a patient bearing area of an operating table, with a heating element for heating a fluid that transfers heat, an elastically deformable flow layer of the patient bearing area through which the heated fluid can flow, and a fluid-tight sealing layer of the patient bearing area arranged between a surface of the patient bearing area provided for contact with the patient and said flow layer. The device may include a flow circuit for the circulating, heat-bearing fluid formed as a closed path.
