Apparatus for seating a person in an obstructed seat
An apparatus is disclosed which enables a person to be moved into a seat which may be obstructed by an arm rest or another obstacle. In some implementations, an apparatus for seating a person into an obstructed seat may comprise a first support structure for supporting the person in a position adjacent the obstructed seat; a second support structure configured to be placed onto the seat; and a transfer structure configured to enable the person to move or be moved from the first support structure to the second support structure.
MEDICAL VEHICLE COMPRISING A COMPARTMENT WITH A MEDICAL IMAGING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A MEDICAL VEHICLE
The invention relates to a medical vehicle (1) comprising a compartment (2) with a medical imaging system (3), wherein the medical imaging system (3) comprises at least one system support sensor (4). The system support sensors (4) augment the vehicle's own sensors and/or replace equivalent sensors in the vehicle. The medical vehicle (1) is configured to obtain sensor readings from the at least one system support sensor (4) during operation of the medical vehicle (1), analyze the sensor readings and provide feedback based on the analyzed sensor readings. The invention further relates to a corresponding method for operating a medical vehicle (1).
On-board power and remote power for suspended load control apparatuses, systems, and methods
Load control apparatuses, systems and methods to control a location, orientation, or rotation of a suspended load by imparting thrust with thrusters. The load control apparatuses, systems and method comprise an on-board power supply, a remote power supply, and a power control module. The power control module may distribute a pulse power to the thrusters from the on-board power supply and or from a combination of the on-board power supply and the remote power supply, may manage power between the on-board power supply and the remote power supply, and may to recharge the on-board power supply with the remote power supply.
Gyroscope assisted helicopter rescue lift systems and methods
A patient litter basket spin control assembly includes a first gyroscope and a motion sensor for sensing an angular acceleration of a patient litter basket. The first gyroscope generates a counter torque to the litter basket to slow the angular acceleration of the litter basket to provide stabilization. The first gyroscope and a second gyroscope may be configured as a pair and located at opposite ends of the litter basket.
PASSENGER SEAT SUBASSEMBLIES FOR REDUCED MOBILITY ACCESS
Subassemblies mountable to passenger seats and passenger seats reconfigurable for reduced mobility access in aircraft and other environments. In embodiments, the assemblies include seat pan and armrest subassemblies with movable frame members for transitioning the seat between a sitting position and a temporary transfer position. In some embodiments, the motions are decoupled whereas in other embodiments the motions are coordinated and sequential. In a particular application, portions of the seat pan and armrest subassemblies are repositionable toward an aisle to facilitate wheelchair transfer.
PLINTH MONUMENT AND TABLE
An aircraft monument may be designed as a multipurpose structure to provide seating amenities to an aircraft passenger using a wheelchair secured to a near-by plinth and to provide services to attendants when the plinth is unoccupied. The aircraft monument may have doors on various sides for access to an internal storage compartment while the plinth is occupied or unoccupied. The aircraft monument may have a table configured to translate between various heights along a sliding rail to provide a meal tray surface to a wheelchair occupant or a standing desk to a standing attendant. The aircraft monument may have storage for the translating table.
Aeromedical ambulance equipment
The invention provides aeromedical ambulance equipment. In some embodiments, the equipment includes a module base comprising a mount assembly having an unlocked configuration and a locked configuration. The mount assembly preferably can be adjusted between the unlocked and locked configurations by a tool-free operation. In addition, certain embodiments provide a module base having an advantageous system for releasably locking a stretcher onto the module base.
PERSONAL POP-UP PODS
Disclosed herein are novel personal pop-up pods designed for a single user. In one embodiment, a personal pop-up pod can provide a user with privacy and/or protection from the surrounding environment. The personal pop-up pods can be designed such that a user can remain mobile, i.e., able to move from one location to another while using a personal pop-up pod. The personal pop-up pods can be designed such that a user can selectively gain access to the environment surrounding the pop-up pod by opening windows and other points of access. The personal pop-up pods can protect the user form a variety of conditions surrounding the personal pop-up pods such as, for example, rain, snow, wind, low temperatures, and other such climate related elements or communicable diseases and other such health risks.
Collapsible shell mounted passenger lift assembly
A passenger lift assembly includes a spine defining a motion path, a lift mechanism attached to the spine and configured to travel along the motion path, and a plurality of branch subassemblies attached to the spine, each branch subassembly including at least one leg configured to engage an upstanding wall of a seat shell positioned in relation to a passenger seat. In use, the passenger lift assembly mounts to a seat shell positioned in relation to a seat to facilitate transfer of a passenger from the wheelchair to a seat, and collapses for compact stowing between uses. The passenger lift assembly is particularly well suited for use with seats surrounded by upstanding walls and curved pathways extending from an aisle to a passenger seat.
