This improved photocatalytic reactor stator improves the performance of a photocatalytic reactor by increasing the mobility of the photocatalyst and thereby increasing the surface area of the catalyst that is exposed to the reactant and the UV light source.

An inlet distribution ring is positioned on the outer conduit. The inlet distribution ring comprises a ring having at least one opening and at least one vertically extending riser tube. One end of the riser tube is sealed to the ring, and the other end is positioned inside the outer conduit.

In the flow reactor, an oxidation catalyst is immobilized or packed. In the oxidation reactor, the flow reactor includes a monolith support and the oxidation catalyst immobilized to or packed in the monolith support. In addition or alternatively, the gas-liquid mixing unit includes a microbubble generator.
