Provided is a method for producing a particulate water-absorbing agent that can reduce a re-wet amount of an absorbent body when applied to the absorbent body. The method for producing the particulate water-absorbing agent according to an aspect of the present invention includes the step of surface-crosslinking a water-absorbing resin powder with use of a surface-crosslinking agent, wherein the water-absorbing resin powder has a specific surface area index, expressed by formula (1) below, of not less than 1.5, and the surface-crosslinking agent has an apparent Hansen solubility parameter of 22.5 MPa.sup.½ to 28.5 MPa.sup.½:
(specific surface area index)=(specific surface area of water-absorbing resin powder)/(10.sup.8×D50.sup.2) (1), where: in formula (1), the unit of the specific surface area index is [1/kg], the unit of the specific surface area is [m.sup.2/kg], D50 denotes a mass average particle diameter, and the unit of D50 is [m].

Preparation Method of Super Absorbent Polymer
A method of preparing a super absorbent polymer and a superabsorbent polymer prepared from the same are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a method includes mixing a mixture comprising fines having a particle diameter of 150 μm or less, a surface-modified inorganic material having a reactive functional group, and water, and drying the mixture to prepare a fine powder reassembly. There may be provided a super absorbent polymer exhibiting excellent absorption properties and mechanical properties such as crushing strength while having uniform particle size distribution by effectively reassembling fines obtained inevitably in the preparation of a super absorbent polymer.
RECOVERING SUPERABSORBENT POLYMERS
A method for producing a cross-linked superabsorbent polymer for recycling superabsorbent polymers may be introduced. The method may include obtaining a solution by mixing a cross-linking agent, an initiator, water, acetone, and a functionalized oligomer. The method may further include obtaining a molded superabsorbent polymer by molding the superabsorbent polymer in a die. The superabsorbent polymer may include a polymer with a water absorbing capacity of more than 100 g/g. the method may further include impregnating the molded superabsorbent polymer with the solution by adding the solution to the molded superabsorbent polymer.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
The present invention provides for an absorbent article that includes a topsheet, backsheet and absorbent core. The absorbent core includes a fibrous material and a particulate superabsorbent polymer composition. The superabsorbent polymer composition exhibits advantageous performance of absorption rate, surface tension, bulk density, centrifuge retention capacity, absorbency under load, gel bed permeability and particle size.

Method for improving water retention in a soil
A method is described for improving water retention in soil, which involves mixing a super absorbing resin (SAR) composite with the soil. The SAR composite comprises a natural pozzolan and at least one polymer or copolymer. The SAR composite may be in the form of granules having an average longest dimension of 0.2-10 mm, though the SAR composite may be pelletized or formed in other sizes. The SAR composite may release water at a faster rate in a soil when exposed to drought conditions.
