A separating medium for hydrophilic interaction chromatography useful in separating hydrophilic compounds. The hydrophilic interaction chromatography separating medium, which is formed from a support and a ligand carried by the support, is a separating medium wherein the ligand is a (meth)acrylic polymer having a constituent unit derived from the compound indicated by formula (I). ##STR00001##
3D printed zeolite monoliths for CO.SUB.2 .removal
Carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) capture materials comprising one or more 3D-printed zeolite monoliths for the capture and or removal of CO.sub.2 from air or gases in enclosed compartments, including gases or mixtures of gases having less than about 5% CO.sub.2. Methods for preparing 3D-printed zeolite monoliths useful as CO.sub.2 capture materials and filters, as well as methods of removing CO.sub.2 from a gas or mixture of gases in an enclosed compartment using 3D-printed zeolite monoliths are provided.
EVAPORATIVE LOSS CONTROL DEVICE
The present disclosure is directed to a gas phase adsorption device comprising a large annulus and a small annulus block wherein the small annulus block is concentrically positioned inside the large annulus block. The present disclosure is also directed to a method for the storage of gas.
CERAMIC MATERIAL FOR THE ABSORPTION OF CARBON DIOXIDE, PRODUCTION PROCESS, PROCESSES FOR THE REGENERATION OF CARBON DIOXIDE AND OF THE CERAMIC MATERIAL, AND USES
The present invention describes the process of preparing ceramic materials for absorption of acidic gases, mainly carbon dioxide, in exhaust systems and/or present indoors. Ceramic materials are formed by a mixture of alkali carbonate with alkaline earth metal oxide/hydroxide associated with a binding component, but non-limiting. The alkali carbonate comprises sodium, potassium carbonate, or a mixture of both. The alkaline earth metal oxide/hydroxide may be formed from magnesium oxide or magnesium hydroxide as well as calcium oxide and/or calcium hydroxide.
CAVITIES AND ACTIVE REGIONS
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for providing and/or receiving audible sound. In particular, the invention relates to apparatus, such as a micro speaker, which includes an active region which comprises an adsorbent element in the form of a self-supporting monolith-like element with a porous reticulated structure. The adsorbent element includes adsorbent material which comprises microporous organic polymer (MOP) material. The apparatus of the present invention is suitable for use in an electronic device, for example a mobile or portable electronic device, to provide improved audible sound.
Sorbent with detection array
A sorbent product having a sensor array for detecting a sorbate. The sorbent product includes a sorbent body configured to absorb the sorbate and a sensor array integrated with the sorbent body. The sensor array includes a plurality of sensing elements, an electric power source in electrical communication with the plurality of sensing elements, and a controller configured to detect a change in an electrical property of at least one of the plurality of sensing elements and provide a signal containing information based on the detected change.
Flow passage unit
A flow passage unit has a column for used in a liquid chromatograph and a support body that supports the column. The column has: a porous stationary phase; a porous pressure adjusting part disposed at least at the flow-in end of the stationary phase, a liquid entering the flow-in end, the pressure adjusting part being harder than the stationary phase; and a covering part that covers the stationary phase and pressure adjusting part. The support body has a first plate and a second plate that are mutually joined, the support body forming a column holding part and a liquid flow passage, the column holding part holding the column between the first plate and the second plate, the liquid flow passage communicating with the column holding part. Pressure applied from the first plate and second plate to the pressure adjusting part is higher than pressure applied to the stationary phase.
DEVICE AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING SIZE EXCLUSION CHROMATOGRAPHY
The present invention is directed to a device and a method for performing size exclusion chromatography. Embodiments of the present invention feature devices and methods for size exclusion chromatography at normal high performance liquid chromatography or ultra performance liquid chromatography pressures and above using small particles.
Method for producing porous cellulose medium
Provided is a novel method by which a porous cellulose medium is able to be suitably produced from cellulose acetate. A method for producing a porous cellulose medium, which comprises: a step for preparing a cellulose acetate solution wherein cellulose acetate is dissolved in a solvent; and a step for obtaining a mixed solution by mixing the cellulose acetate solution, a deacetylating agent and a catalyst with each other.
POROUS MATERIALS FOR SOLID PHASE EXTRACTION AND CHROMATOGRAPHY AND PROCESSES FOR PREPARATION AND USE THEREOF
The present invention provides porous materials for use in solid phase extractions and chromatography. In particular, the materials exhibit superior properties in the SPE analysis of biological materials. In certain aspects, the porous materials comprise a copolymer of a least one hydrophobic monomer and at least one hydrophilic monomer, wherein more than 10% of the BJH surface area of the porous material is contributed by pores that have a diameter greater than or equal to 200 Å, wherein said material has a median pore diameter of about 100 Å to about 1000 Å, or both. In some embodiments, the at least one hydrophilic monomer has a log P value of less than 0.5. In some embodiments, the at least one hydrophilic monomer is selected from 4-acryloymorphine, N-(3-methoxypropyl)acrylamide, N,N′-methylenebis(acrylamide), acrylonitrile, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, methyl acrylate, 4-acetoxystyrene, 4-vinyl pyridine, or a boronic-acid-containing monomer, among others.
