Production method for alkoxysilanes

Provided is a method for efficiently producing alkoxysilanes that are useful as various functional chemicals. In order to produce alkoxysilanes efficiently, an ethoxy- or methoxysilane and an alcohol are caused to react using, as a catalyst, for instance an inorganic solid acid having a regular-pore and/or layered structure. Zeolites, montmorillonites or the like can be used as the inorganic solid acid. When a zeolite is used as the catalyst, the silica/alumina ratio of the zeolite ranges preferably from 5 to 1000. The reaction can be promoted through irradiation of microwaves.

A method for preparing the catalyst, including: 1) soaking the carrier including silica into an aqueous solution including a zirconium salt, aging, drying, and calcining a resulting mixture to yield a zirconium-loaded carrier including silica; 2) soaking the zirconium-loaded carrier including silica into an aqueous solution including a cobalt salt, aging, drying, calcining a resulting mixture to yield a primary cobalt-based catalyst; 3) preparing a precursor solution of a mesoporous material; and 4) soaking the primary cobalt-based catalyst into the precursor solution of the mesoporous material; and crystalizing, washing, drying, and calcining a resulting mixture.

The invention relates to a method for preparing a magnetic mesoporous silica-based (MMS) material, said method comprising the steps of: i) functionalising the silanol (SiOH) groups of a mesoporous silica-based material by covalently grafting a ligand (L) comprising, at at least one end, a zwitterionic group of formula (I), in particular which is capable of complexing superparamagnetic particles: where n is an integer equal to 3 or 4; ii) incorporating superparamagnetic ferrite (MFe.sub.2O.sub.4NP) particles within the mesoporous material, by means of which a magnetic mesoporous silica-based (MMS) material is obtained.
