Embodiments herein are directed to a mobility device. The mobility device includes a frame, a pair of foot plates, and a base. The frame has a pair of side rails. The pair of foot plates are pivotally attached to the pair of side rails. Each of the pair of foot plates have a transport surface. The base has an upper surface and an opposite lower surface. The lower surface of the base includes at least one receiving cavity that corresponds to a shape of the pair of foot plates. The base is positioned on the transport surface to receive the pair of foot plates within the at least one receiving cavity and is configured to receive a plurality of cargo containers on the upper surface.

The mobility device is also configured to transform the frame into a rideable configuration that accepts a person.

A weighted walker attachment system generally comprises a kit of weighted walker attachments that can be mounted to standard walker or other assistive perambulatory device for use in physical therapy and rehabilitation. A plurality of weighted attachments are provided and adapted to be mounted at a variety of locations on an assistive device. The weight of each attachment can be adjusted, as needed, for example, by adding or removing individual weighted plates mounted on a base plate that itself is removably mounted to the assistive device. In alternate kits, interchangeable weighted attachments can be provided in varying weights, distinguished by optical and/or tactile indicators, and selectively mounted on the assistive device, either as an accessory or in replacing a portion of the device, such as extensions provided on a walker's legs, in accordance with a therapeutic rehabilitation plan for an individual patient.

The crossbar handles are placed one in front of the other with the first posterior crossbar handle being aligned with or slightly behind the middle of the back wheel posterior to the bottom of the walker frame. The crossbars can be of a sufficient width and curvature to provide a continuous support for the forearms when the user is standing, and can provide more frontal plane stability and balance during locomotion compared to the handles of a traditional walker.
