Rollator
A rollator designed to provide low-radius rotational mobility while a user is engaged in motion with a foldable and height adjustable frame allowing a user to have a natural full gait. The foldable frame has an angled upright U-shaped main frame section and a base U-shaped frame section mounted to the angled upright U-shaped frame and a U-shaped intermediate frame section mounted to the angled U-shaped upright frame section and the base U-shaped frame section. A moveable seat assembly is slideably mounted to the U-shaped support assembly to assume desire positions. A pair of rear wheels are mounted to the frame and a pair of front wheels are mounted to yoke mechanisms which are mounted on the frame. A brake assembly including brake levers are mounted to the frame, the brake assembly being operatively connected to the pair of rear wheels to brake the rear wheels with each of the brake levers being adapted to transfer braking force from the user hand grip lever to the rear wheels.
Rollator
A rolling walker comprises a frame, a seat supported by that frame, and a backrest supported by the frame. By one approach the backrest is configured to selectively move between a first position that provides back support for a person sitting in the seat facing in a forward direction and a second position that provides back support for a person sitting in the seat facing in a rearward direction. If desired, this backrest can be comprised of a material (such as a memory foam material) that biases the backrest towards that first position when the backrest is in the first position and that biases the backrest towards the second position when the backrest is in the second position.
Folding scooter
A scooter comprising a collapsible frame pivotally connected to a head stock assembly. A leg support is mounted on the frame. The head stock assembly comprises a handle bar stem having a wheel assembly attached at its lower end. There is a second wheel assembly attached to the frame assembly. The frame is collapsible to allow the scooter to move from an expanded, use position to a folded or collapsed position for storage.
WHEELED WALKER
A rollator including a frame having first and second side frames extending along respective ones of a pair of planes. First and second upper body supports are coupled to and disposable at an adjustable height above the frame. A pair of forearm gutters are coupled to respective ones of the first and second upper body supports for engaging and supporting a respective forearm of the user during use. Each forearm gutter includes a peripheral edge, a forward midpoint on the peripheral edge, and a rearward midpoint on the peripheral edge. Each forearm gutter defines a longitudinal axis bisecting the respective forearm gutter and passing through the forward midpoint and the rearward midpoint. The forward midpoint and the rearward midpoint on each forearm gutter fall between the pair of planes.
Collapsible rolling walker
A collapsible rolling walker that readily collapses for storage and/or transportation and that readily deploys for use.
Unmanned aerial vehicle and medical support method
Provided are an unmanned aerial vehicle executing medical support work and assisting in the work supposed to be performed by a health care worker or replacing the health care worker and a medical support method for performing medical support work by using an unmanned aerial vehicle. An unmanned aerial vehicle capable of performing autonomous flight includes a receiving unit receiving an input of medical support work from a health care worker and a control unit controlling the execution of the medical support work based on content of the input received by the receiving unit.
WALKING ASSISTANCE APPARATUS FOR THE OLD AND THE WEAK
A walking assistance apparatus for the old and the weak includes a chair including a seat panel having a front side and a rear side, the front side coupled with a hinge shaft to rotate the seat panel in a direction in which the rear side of the seat panel is lifted, and a seat panel lifting module for pushing up and lifting the rear of the seat panel of the chair. The old and the weak can easily stand up from the chair by lifting the chair upward.
Progressive mobility aid device
Disclosed herein are novel embodiments of progressive mobility aid devices. Such progressive mobility aid devices are designed to progress through a variety of configurations to accommodate the use of the progressive mobility aid device in a safe and secure manner as the user of the progressive mobility aid device traverses a variety of surfaces and terrain such as traversing irregular surfaces including sidewalks and stone-based surfaces; loose surfaces and terrain including gravel and sand; soft surfaces including wet ground and carpeted surfaces; and variable gradient surfaces including stairs and inclining or declining surfaces and terrain. The progressive mobility aid devices accommodate such uses with an articulating design that provides for front legs of the progressive mobility aid device to be pivotably adjusted with respect to the rear legs of the progressive mobility aid device, and with wheel assemblies that are selectively deployable and retractable.
MONOCOQUE AMBULATION AID
Example ambulation aid apparatus and associated methods of manufacture are disclosed and described herein. An example ambulation aid apparatus includes an ambulation aid body formed as an integral part, the integral part formed in monocoque construction to provide support for mobility of a user through the integral part, the integral part providing a plurality of grippable areas to facilitate user movement and support through the integral part. Another example ambulation aid apparatus includes a primary panel formed in monocoque construction to provide support for and assist in mobility of a user through the skin of the monocoque primary panel, the primary panel formed to interrelate with one or more subassemblies to provide an integrated monocoque part to assist in providing support for and improved mobility of the user through the integrated monocoque part. Example methods of manufacture are also disclosed and described.
Wrap around walking aid
A walking aid that assists a user in walking in an upright position. The walking aid may include a rear lower frame structure, a front lower frame structure, a first front wheel coupled to a first front lower frame member, a second front wheel coupled to a second front lower frame member, a first rear wheel coupled to the first rear lower frame member, a second rear wheel coupled to the second rear lower frame member, an upper frame structure comprising a first upper frame member, a second upper frame member, a first forearm support, and a second forearm support, a first pivot and latch mechanism pivotally coupling the first upper frame member and the first rear lower frame member together, and a second pivot and latch mechanism pivotally coupling the second upper frame member and the second rear lower frame member together.
