Medical Walker
A medical walker apparatus and a method for using the medical walker. Embodiments of the medical walker include a wheeled frame and a compromised limb gait system attached to the wheeled frame, where the compromised limb gait system is configured to guide a limb of a user through a simulated gait motion. In aspects, the medical walker gives an amputee patient mobility by providing a leg brace support for the compromised limb with a flexible connection to the walker that guides the compromised limb through a biomechanically proper walking motion, thus allowing the compromised limb to be exercised.
Collapsible upright wheeled walker apparatus
A collapsible upright wheeled walker with adjustable armrests that support sufficient user upper-body weight to facilitate a natural upright gait and provide unassisted mobility for a wide range of mobility-impaired individuals. The apparatus may be easily and quickly folded (and unfolded) and may include bilateral stabilizing wheel suspensions to facilitate navigation over uneven terrain. The apparatus includes a frame-stiffening folder assembly and may also include mechanical brakes, an adjustable upper armrest assembly with removable padded forearm supports and two pairs of handles, at least one of which is disposed sufficiently forward to place the user within the polygonal footprint defined by the front and rear wheels to provide support without leaning, stooping, or risking falls.
BODY LIGHTENING SYSTEM FOR GAIT TRAINING
A body lightening system for at least partially supporting the weight of a user, the system including a structure having a frame and a motion system, the motion system driving the structure to follow the movements of the user, a holding system, the holding system including a holding mechanism, a hanger and a plurality of hanging cables, the plurality of hanging cables connecting the hanger to a harness to be worn by the user, a power system including a power source for powering the body lightening system, and a human machine interface, the human machine interface providing control over the motion of the motion system and the percentage of the user's weight supported by the holding system.
Wheeled walker with a movable seat
A collapsible wheeled walker with two side frames and two height adjustable upper body supports. The apparatus includes a seat that is slidably attached to the two side frames and is movable between a front position to facilitate an ample walking space inside the frames and a rear position for a user to sit. The apparatus may include an X-folder that facilitates collapsing the walker to a small footprint for storage and transportation. It may also include a left forearm gutter and a right forearm gutter as part of the upper body supports that give the user an upright walking posture for health benefits.
WALKING TRAINING APPARATUS
Provided is a walking training apparatus which includes: a main body to be ridden by a walking trainee; a footrest part coupled to the main body rotatably to support feet of the walking trainee; and an upper body support part coupled to the main body at a position spaced apart from the footrest part to support an upper body of the walking trainee and thus disperse load supported by the footrest part, wherein the upper body support part supports an armpit and a forearm of the walking trainee.
Wrap around walking aid
A wrap around walking aid is configured to assist a human user in walking. The wrap around walking aid includes a first rear lower frame and a first front lower frame mechanically coupled to a first upper frame. A back rest is connected to the first rear lower frame. A second rear lower frame and a second front lower frame are mechanically coupled to a second upper frame. The second rear lower frame is further mechanically coupled to the back rest. At least one first fixed front wheel is mechanically coupled to both front lower frames. At least one first castor rear wheel is mechanically coupled to both rear lower frames. The wheels enable a turn radius while the human user is walking forward.
WHEELED WALKER
A rollator including a frame having first and second side frames extending along respective ones of a pair of planes. First and second upper body supports are coupled to and disposable at an adjustable height above the frame. A pair of forearm gutters are coupled to respective ones of the first and second upper body supports for engaging and supporting a respective forearm of the user during use. Each forearm gutter includes a peripheral edge, a forward midpoint on the peripheral edge, and a rearward midpoint on the peripheral edge. Each forearm gutter defines a longitudinal axis bisecting the respective forearm gutter and passing through the forward midpoint and the rearward midpoint. The forward midpoint and the rearward midpoint on each forearm gutter fall between the pair of planes.
Wheeled Walker Wheel Direction Lock Apparatus and Method
A collapsible Wheeled Walker with two side frames and two height adjustable upper body supports. The apparatus includes a plurality of wheel direction locks each coupled to a wheel and adapted to lock the wheel in fixed moving direction or to release the wheel to turn freely. The apparatus may include a seat that is slidably attached to the two side frames and is movable between a front position for walking inside the frames and a rear position sitting. The apparatus may be converted to a transport chair by locking front wheel and releasing the rear wheels, and sliding the movable seat to the rear position. It may include an X-folder that facilitates collapsing the Walker to a small footprint. It may also include two forearm gutters as part of the upper body supports that give the user an upright walking posture for health benefits.
Crutch
Embodiments of crutches are disclosed. A crutch has a main body having a substantially vertical tubular member with a plurality of apertures formed therein; an angled portion extending upwardly from the substantially vertical tubular member; an arm rest support extending perpendicularly from the angled portion for receiving an arm rest; and a handle extending outwardly from the arm rest support. The crutch further includes a leg telescopically received into the substantially vertical tubular member, and a foot exchangably received by the leg.
