The present invention relates to a catalyst which is a composite oxide including at least one element X selected from the group consisting of elements belonging to Groups 3 to 6 of the periodic table, and at least one element Z selected from the group consisting of elements belonging to Group 14 of the periodic table, wherein the catalyst has mesopores.
METHODS FOR PRODUCING C2 TO C5 PARAFFINS USING A HYBRID CATALYST COMPRISING A HIGH ACIDITY MICROPOROUS COMPONENT
A method for preparing C.sub.2 to C.sub.5 paraffins including introducing a feed stream of hydrogen gas and a carbon-containing gas selected from carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and mixtures thereof into a reaction zone of a reactor. Converting the feed stream into a product stream that includes C.sub.2 to C.sub.5 paraffins in the reaction zone in the presence of a hybrid catalyst. The hybrid catalyst including a microporous catalyst component; and a metal oxide catalyst component. The metal oxide catalyst component including a metal component present on a metal oxide support material. The metal oxide support material includes at least one oxide of a metal selected from Group 4 of the IUPAC periodic table of elements. The product stream has a C.sub.3/C.sub.2 carbon molar ratio greater than or equal to 4.0.
METHODS FOR PRODUCING C2 TO C5 PARAFFINS USING A HYBRID CATALYST COMPRISING A HIGH ACIDITY MICROPOROUS COMPONENT
A method for preparing C.sub.2 to C.sub.5 paraffins including introducing a feed stream of hydrogen gas and a carbon-containing gas selected from carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and mixtures thereof into a reaction zone of a reactor. Converting the feed stream into a product stream that includes C.sub.2 to C.sub.5 paraffins in the reaction zone in the presence of a hybrid catalyst. The hybrid catalyst including a microporous catalyst component; and a metal oxide catalyst component. The metal oxide catalyst component including a metal component present on a metal oxide support material. The metal oxide support material includes at least one oxide of a metal selected from Group 4 of the IUPAC periodic table of elements. The product stream has a C.sub.3/C.sub.2 carbon molar ratio greater than or equal to 4.0.
Heterogeneous catalysts for the synthesis of carbamates
The present invention relates to a catalyst for preparing carbamates, in particular aromatic carbamates, comprising a binary oxide having the formula L.sub.1-xM.sub.xO.sub.2, wherein L is a metal selected from the lanthanoid series and M is a metal selected from the group consisting of Sc, Y, Ti, Zr, Hf, metals from the lanthanoid series and metals from the actinoid series, and wherein x ranges from 0.01 to 0.05. The present invention also relates to a method for producing said catalysts and a method of utilizing said catalysts in the production of carbamates, in particular aromatic carbamates.
Heterogeneous catalysts for the synthesis of carbamates
The present invention relates to a catalyst for preparing carbamates, in particular aromatic carbamates, comprising a binary oxide having the formula L.sub.1-xM.sub.xO.sub.2, wherein L is a metal selected from the lanthanoid series and M is a metal selected from the group consisting of Sc, Y, Ti, Zr, Hf, metals from the lanthanoid series and metals from the actinoid series, and wherein x ranges from 0.01 to 0.05. The present invention also relates to a method for producing said catalysts and a method of utilizing said catalysts in the production of carbamates, in particular aromatic carbamates.
ZIRCONIA-BASED AQUEOUS NP-DISPERSION FOR USE IN COATING FILTER SUBSTRATES
This invention relates to an aqueous dispersion of particles, the dispersion having a particle content of 10-70 wt %, and the particles comprising, on an oxide basis: (a) 10-98 wt % in total of ZrO.sub.2+HfO.sub.2, and (b) 2-90 wt % in total of AI.sub.2O.sub.3, CeO.sub.2, La.sub.2O.sub.3, Nd.sub.2O.sub.3, Pr.sub.6O.sub.11, Y.sub.2O.sub.3, or a transition metal oxide, wherein the dispersion has a Z-average particle size of 100-350 nm and the particles have a crystallite size of 1-9 nm. The invention also relates to a substrate coated with the aqueous dispersion of particles.

Converting the feed stream into a product stream including C.sub.2 to C.sub.5 paraffins in the presence of a hybrid catalyst. The hybrid catalyst includes a microporous catalyst component; and a metal oxide catalyst component selected from (A) a bulk material consisting of gallium oxide, (B) gallium oxide present on a titanium dioxide support material, and (C) a mixture of gallium oxide and at least one promoter present on a support material selected from Group 4 of the IUPAC periodic table of elements.

Catalyst and use of same
A catalyst comprising: a titanium oxide having an anatase-type crystal structure, and having the vertices and the ridge lines, wherein in a single titanium oxide particle, a vertex density per unit surface area is 8.0×10.sup.−4 nm.sup.−2 or more, and a ridge line density per unit surface area is 5.0×10.sup.−2 nm or more, or a ridge line density per unit volume is 8.0×10.sup.−3 nm.sup.−2 or more. A complex comprising: a material having a porous structure; and said catalyst. A membrane electrode assembly comprising: an anode; cathode; and an electrolyte membrane, wherein the cathode carries said catalyst on at least a surface of the cathode.
