Apparatus and method for detecting objects and navigation

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a process by which first data is received from a mobile device regarding first objects detected by the mobile device in an area, the first data having been collected by the mobile device at a number of first collection points while moving along a first path from an initial position in the area to a boundary of the area. The first data is aggregated with second data previously collected regarding second objects in the area, the second data having been collected at a number of second collection points along a second path different from the first path. The second data includes a position indicator for each of the second objects indexed by the initial position. A map of the area is generated based on the aggregating and the map is transmitted to the mobile device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a guide cane and a method for guiding used for a guide cane. The guide cane comprises a movement component and an object acquisition component. The object acquisition component is provided on the movement component, and the movement component is electrically coupled to the object acquisition component. The object acquisition component acquires a positional information of the target object in a target space, and determines a navigation route according to the target position indicated by the positional information and an initial position where the guide cane is currently located. The movement component guides, according to the navigation route, a user to arrive at the target position.

Radio communication device and a RFID device for assisting visually impaired users

A radio communication device comprising a planar body arranged to be inserted into a gap portion between one or more construction components, wherein the planar body includes a radio communication chip and an antenna arrangement arranged to substantially radiate radio communication signals from the radio communication chip in a direction away from the gap portion.

INFORMATION OUTPUT APPARATUS

This application relates to an information output apparatus including at least one information output unit. The information output unit includes a coil unit connected to a power source to allow an electric current to flow therethrough and a base unit formed to accommodate the coil unit. The information output unit also includes an expression unit formed and arranged to allow a user to sense the expression unit and a driving unit arranged in the base unit to be separated from the coil unit. The driving unit is adjacent to the coil unit to be driven by the electric current flowing through the coil unit to perform an angular or rotational movement so as to move the expression unit in a first direction towards the coil unit and an opposite direction.

This application relates to an information output apparatus. The information output apparatus not only improves durability and user convenience but also minimizes power consumption and an operation error of a driving module. The information output apparatus also allows a pin to be driven to be lowered more easily by an attractive force between a magnetic force member and a magnetic member. In addition, the information output apparatus is also provided to prevent the pin from protruding to the outside of an expression surface even when power is not applied.

Line Tracking Cane for the Vision Impaired

Improvements in a line tracking cane for the vision impaired. The cane detects a line and notifies the user with a sound or vibration to indicate that is user is aligned with the line as the user passes the cane back-and-forth over the line. The detector can detect a direction of movement over the line to determine if the tip of the cane has completely passed over the line or has just moved half-way over the line. The cane is rechargeable and has a handle that orients the sensor on the tip of the cane to forward. The handle has an on-off or momentary power button. The cane can be collapsible as a folding cane or a telescoping cane. It is also contemplated that the tracking device can be an adapter for an existing cane to upgrade the functions of pre-existing cane.

Working animal reaction handling

A working animal reaction handling method monitors reactions of a working animal in an environment to conditions of that environment. The method uses an imaging device to obtain images of the environment, the images providing at least a portion of environmental data about the environment. The method ascertains, based at least in part on the environmental data, a cause of a reaction, of the monitored reactions, of the working animal, electronically signals a handler of the working animal with an alert about the ascertained cause of the reaction of the working animal.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
