Synthesis and characterization of metal organic frameworks

A molecular building block composition can include a metal ion component; and a ligand component including a core including at least one functional group associated with the metal ion component and the core.

Process for preparing electron deficient olefin precursors

This invention relates to a process for producing electron deficient olefin precursors, such as 2-cyanoacetates, using an acid catalyzed esterification reaction.

Stabilization of active metal catalysts at metal-organic framework nodes for highly efficient organic transformations

Metal-organic framework (MOFs) compositions based on postsynthetic metalation of secondary building unit (SBU) terminal or bridging OH or OH.sub.2 groups with metal precursors or other post-synthetic manipulations are described. The MOFs provide a versatile family of recyclable and reusable single-site solid catalysts for catalyzing a variety of asymmetric organic transformations, including the regioselective boryiation and siiylation of benzyiic CH bonds, the hydrogenation of aikenes, imines, carbonyls, nitroarenes, and heterocycles, hydroboration, hydrophosphination, and cyclization reactions. The solid catalysts can also be integrated into a flow reactor or a supercritical fluid reactor.

This invention relates to a process for producing electron deficient olefins, such as 2-cyanoacrylates, using an acid catalyzed Knoevenagel condensation reaction.

Moisture-curable silylated polymer resin composition with reduced moisture sensitivity

There is provided herein a silylated polyurethane composition, a process of preparing a silylated polyurethane polymer, and an adhesive, sealant or coating containing a silylated polyurethane made therewith.

Process for preparing electron deficient olefins

This invention relates to a process for preparing electron deficient olefins, such as 2-cyanoacrylates, using an acid catalyzed two-step process including a transesterification reaction followed by a Knoevenagel condensation reaction.

MOISTURE-CURING COMPOSITIONS

A method for producing polyurethanes containing alkoxysilane groups comprises the step of reacting a compound containing at least one NCO group with a compound containing at least one Zerewitinoff-active H atom in the presence of a catalyst component, wherein the compound containing at least one NCO group and/or the compound containing at least one Zerewitinoff-active H atom contain at least one alkoxysilane group, to obtain a polyurethane containing alkoxysilane groups. The invention also relates to a polymer containing alkoxysilane groups, a method for producing a curable polymer, a curable polymer, a cured polymer, and the use thereof. The polymers contain a complex of a lanthanide with at least one beta-diketonate ligand, preferably Yb(acac).sub.3, and are free from organic tin compounds.

Ethylene and butadiene copolymer having a homogeneous microstructure

An ethylene/butadiene copolymer comprising statistically distributed ethylene units and butadiene unit is provided. The molar fraction of the ethylene units in the copolymer is greater than or equal to 50%, relative to the total number of moles of ethylene and butadiene units. The microstructure of the copolymer is homogeneous. A process for preparing such a copolymer and also the uses of this copolymer, in particular in rubber compositions for tires is also provided.
