Massage chair assemblies with air cell apparatuses and methods for providing the same
This disclosure relates to improved massage chairs that include air cell apparatuses. A massage chair can include at least one air cell apparatus, which can be integrated into a shoulder portion, leg rest portion, arm portion, and/or other portion of the massage chair. An inflatable air bladder can be connected to each air cell apparatus. Each air cell apparatus can transition between a retracted position and an extended position. The air cell bladder can be configured to inflate when the air cell apparatus is in the extended position, thereby securing an individual to the massage chair. Various assemblies can be used to transition the air cell apparatus between the retracted and extended positions. Other embodiments are disclosed.

A compression garment apparatus for a body part of an human and/or animal having a flexible backing, attaching means, a segmented flex frame, and a shape memory alloy on the segmented flex frame. The shape memory alloy can be connected to two terminals on the frame forming a circuit. A controller can be connected to the terminals applying current to the shape memory alloy at defined intervals providing intermittent, sequenced, or continuous compression therapy.
Wheelchair with integral massaging units
A wheelchair includes massaging units integral with both the seat and the backrest. A first massaging unit includes a plurality of vibrating members positioned about the periphery of the backrest that can be activated simultaneously, sequentially, individually or in a random pattern to knead the user's back, shoulders and neck. A second massaging unit includes motorized massaging discs that rotate and linearly reciprocate to provide a unique “rolling” massage to the buttocks and thighs.

An instrument for visceral manipulation of tissue comprising a shaft having a first end and a second end and a pressure applicator tip coupled to the first end of the shaft. The pressure application tip has a front surface, a back surface, and an edge. The instrument also includes a handle coupled to the second end of the shaft. The front surface of pressure applicator tip has a curved profile. The front surface and the edge are configured to apply pressure to a skin portion. A method for visceral manipulation of an organ is also disclosed.

There is provided a technique by which posture changing can be given to an occupant while the forward shift of his/her hip portion is prevented. A seat for vehicle includes a seat cushion, and a seat back coupled to the seat cushion, and the seat back includes a posture changing mechanism having a back face supporting mechanism. There is provided a technique by which a fatigue reduction operation using the posture changing mechanism includes a) moving the back face supporting mechanism set to a position of a lumbar spine portion of an occupant from a first position state to a rear direction side and setting the back face supporting mechanism to a second position state, and b) thereafter, moving the back face supporting mechanism stepwise to a front direction side from the second position state to the first position state.
Intelligent massage chair and the control method of the same
Disclosed herein are an intelligent massage chair and a control method thereof. The intelligent chair includes a sensing unit mounted on the intelligent chair, and including at least one sensor, and a controller. The controller performs a control to determine a user's body condition based on the information about the user's body acquired through the sensing unit, and to determine an operation mode based on the determined user's body condition, and to add the information about the user's body, when it is determined that the determined operation mode is not an optimum operation mode for the user. One or more of an intelligent massage chair, an autonomous vehicle, a user terminal and a server of the present disclosure can be associated with artificial intelligence modules, drones (unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)), robots, augmented reality (AR) devices, virtual reality (VR) devices, devices related to 5G service, etc.
Lumbar therapy belt
The lumbar therapy belt is a therapeutic device. The lumbar therapy belt is configured for use with a patient. The patient is further defined with a torso, a spine, a pelvis, an abdomen, and a lumbar region. The lumbar therapy belt includes a belt, a fastener, and a plurality of pads. The fastener and the plurality of pads attach to the belt. The belt is a strap. The fastener attaches the belt to the patient such that the plurality of pads are positioned over the lumbar region. The plurality of pads press against the lumbar region such that the normal movement of the patient causes the plurality of pads to stretch the muscles of the lumbar region, including spinal muscles, laterally so as to relieve downward pressure on the spinal discs and nerves.
Portable body massager
A body massager includes a portable housing including a backrest and a seat support. A longitudinal guide is provided in the backrest cooperating with a carriage for translation of the carriage within the backrest and a motor drives the carriage along the guide. A pair of massage members are supported by the carriage and extend from the backrest for imparting a rolling massage effect upon the back of the user. A second motor drives the massage members for generating a rotary kneading massage effect or for adjusting a width of the rolling massage effect.
