ROTATIONAL HIGH FREQUENCY CHEST WALL OSCILLATION PUMP
Devices, systems, and methods for high frequency chest wall oscillation pumps can include a pressure cavity, defined by one or more diaphragms, for fluid pressurization to provide pressure oscillation, a drive assembly can be arranged to provide reciprocation to a plunger assembly to move the one or more diaphragms to generate fluid pressure.
PRESSURE THERAPY METHODS AND DEVICES FOR TREATING SPASTICITY
A method and related systems for treating and/or preventing spasticity in a patient using negative pressure therapy. The negative pressure therapy may include intermittent application of negative pressure to a limb or portion of a body, such as alternating between periods of negative pressure and ambient pressure. The negative pressure therapy may be applied on a regular basis for a predetermined period, such that an effective amount of negative pressure for treating spasticity and other symptoms of neurogenerative diseases is administered. The negative pressure therapy may be applied to cause intermittent activation of the venous arterial reflex in the body for a sustained period, such that symptoms of neurogenerative diseases are alleviated or prevented.
WEARABLE HEALTH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A wearable health management system includes a flexible member configured to be worn on an affected area by a patient. At least one actuator is operably coupled to the flexible member. The at least one actuator is configured to be adjusted between a deployed state and a non-deployed state. At least one of a photoplethysmogram sensor and a bioimpedance sensor is coupled to the flexible member to obtain one or more health metrics from the patient. A controller is in communication with the at least one actuator. The controller is configured to adjust the at least one actuator to the deployed state to provide a selected pressure to the affected area.
Thigh-Only Deep Vein Thrombosis Device and Double Pulsation Method of Using Device
A device for applying compression to a patient's limb includes a sleeve and a control unit configured to supply pressurized fluid to the sleeve using the following inflation/deflation process: inflating the at least one chamber from an initial pressure to a first pressure; maintaining the at least one chamber at the first pressure for a first predetermined amount of time; changing the pressure in the at least one chamber from the first pressure to a second pressure, wherein the second pressure is greater than the initial pressure; maintaining the at least one chamber at the second pressure for a second predetermined amount of time; changing the pressure in the at least one chamber from the second pressure to the first pressure or a third pressure greater than the second pressure; maintaining the at least one chamber at the first pressure or the third pressure for a third predetermined amount of time; and deflating the at least one chamber to zero pressure or a fourth pressure.
EXTERNAL EAR CANAL PRESSURE REGULATION DEVICE
An external ear canal pressure regulation device including a fluid flow generator, an earpiece having an axial earpiece bore, and a valved conduit fluidicly coupled to the fluid flow generator and the axial earpiece bore, whereby the earpiece has a compliant earpiece external surface configured to sealably engage an external ear canal as a barrier between an external ear canal pressure and an ambient pressure.
STIMULATION DEVICE
These objects are solved with a stimulation device for stimulating sensitive body parts such as, in particular, the clitoris, having a pressure field generating device with a hollow body, an application opening formed in the hollow body for application on the sensitive body part, and a movable structure provided at least in or on a section of the hollow body and adapted to cause, by virtue of its mobility, a change in the volume of the hollow body between a minimum value and a maximum value in such a way that a stimulating pressure field is generated in the application opening (8), and a drive device which is designed to apply an alternating reciprocal movement to the movable structure in order to generate the stimulating pressure field in the application opening, wherein the movable structure has a tapered body with a tapered first section which is closed, an open second section into the hollow body, and a peripheral wall which is located between the first section and the second section and, at least in sections, is substantially stair- or step-shaped.
Pneumatic somatosensory stimulation device and method
A device for providing tactile stimulation of a subject via a pulse of compressible fluid, typically for medical diagnostic and therapeutic applications. The device preferably includes a high pressure fluid source and a low pressure fluid source. A pressure valve selectively connects the pressure sources to an outlet conduit. The outlet conduit includes an applicator for directing pulses against the skin of a subject. The pulses may be applied via one applicator or a plurality of applicators, and may be applied in one pattern or several patterns at various application sites. A method of providing tactile stimulation is also disclosed.
DEVICE, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR PREVENTION OF DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS
Embodiments provide devices, systems and methods for preventing deep vein (DV) thrombosis (DVT). One embodiment provides a DVT prevention device including a cuff that fits over a patient's knee, an applanator coupled to an inside cuff surface, an expandable member (EM) coupled to the applanator, a pressure source fluidically coupled to the EM and a controller for controlling EM inflation. When the EM is inflated, it applies a force to the applanator which is transmitted to the knee back surface causing a popliteal vein (PV) under the cuff to be compressed so as to increase backpressure behind the compressed PV and subsequently increase the velocity of blood flow in the leg DV's when the EM is deflated. The EM can be inflated in a cycle including pulsed inflation, inflation hold and relaxation. The cycles can be repeated and adjusted to achieve a desired increase of blood flow/velocity in leg DV's.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPROVING SCALP HEALTH
According to some embodiments, a method of promoting hair growth or hair stimulation in a subject comprises applying vacuum or suction using a handpiece assembly along a targeted portion of the subject's skin surface where hair growth or hair stimulation is desired and providing at least one treatment material to said targeted portion of the subject's skin surface, wherein the application of vacuum or suction helps promote hair growth or stimulate hair.
Therapeutic apparatus for supporting a limb and facilitating compression of the limb
A therapeutic apparatus for supporting a limb and compressing the limb. The therapeutic apparatus includes a housing, and a plurality of telescopic support bars mounted underneath of the housing. The therapeutic apparatus includes a plurality of pads, a pad is mounted to one the telescopic support bars. The therapeutic apparatus includes a plurality of pressure actuators provided at each of the pads. The therapeutic apparatus further includes a motor electrically coupled to the telescopic support bars, the pads and the pressure actuators.
