The manual dosing device (1) comprises the main body (3) that can be screwed to the fluid discharge unit (4), the detent connection (10) being provided alongside the screw connection (6) for removably connecting the main body (3) to the fluid discharge unit (4), which detent connection is locked by connecting the main body (3) and the fluid discharge unit (4) together (cf. FIG. 5).

LIQUID TO LIQUID BIOLOGICAL PARTICLE CONCENTRATOR WITH DISPOSABLE FLUID PATH

Highly efficient and rapid filtration-based concentration devices, systems and methods are disclosed with sample fluidic lines and a filter packaged in a disposable tip which concentrates biological particles that are suspended in liquid from a dilute feed suspension. A sample concentrate or retentate suspension is retained while eliminating the separated fluid in a separate flow stream. The concentrate is then dispensed from the disposable tip in a set volume of elution fluid. Suspended biological particles include such materials as proteins/toxins, viruses, DNA, and/or bacteria in the size range of approximately 0.001 micron to 20 microns diameter. Concentration of these particles is advantageous for detection of target particles in a dilute suspension, because concentrating them into a small volume makes them easier to detect and identify. A single-use pipette tip includes fluid ports for aspirating the sample and connecting to a concentrating unit.

SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR DRIVING ANTENNA

A multiple-antenna positioning system with a single drive element, providing reduced weight and complexity over systems that have a drive element for each antenna. In certain examples, each antenna can be coupled with a rotating spindle, with each antenna spindle being coupled with a pair of link arms. By driving a single drive spindle, each of the antenna spindles in the system can be rotated by the associated pair of link arms. The link arms can have an adjustable length, such as through a turnbuckle mechanism, to reduce backlash in the system, and in some examples can apply a preload to the system. By reducing backlash, the multiple antenna positioning system can have improved responsiveness to a rotation of the single drive element, as well as improved stability of the positioning of each antenna when the drive element is held in a fixed position.

Manual metering device and manual metering device arrangement

In order to be able to adapt a manual dosing device (1), in particular a pipette (2), to differently sized hand dimensions, the manual dosing device (1) at whose main body (3) at least one grip (5) or exchangeable grip is releasable, fastenable or fastened is proposed. Adaptation of the manual dosing device (1) to users having different hand sizes can be performed by removing the grip (5) or by changing the grip (5) and replacing the grip (5) with a grip (5) having different dimensions (FIG. 1).

In order to increase the compatibility of a pipetting system tip with various types of cones, the invention provides a tip comprising a first group of first cone retention elements defining a first maximum outer diameter; a second group of second cone retention elements defining a second maximum outer diameter; a third group of third cone retention elements defining a third maximum outer diameter. The first maximum outer diameter and the second maximum outer diameter being different so as to together define a first tip portion having a first conicity, and the second maximum outer diameter and the third maximum outer diameter being different so as to together define a second tip portion having a second conicity smaller than the first conicity.
