SUBSTANCE LABELING PATCH, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TISSUE DIAGNOSIS USING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a tissue diagnosis device including a plate supporter configured to support a plate on which a reaction region is placed and a sample is placed in the reaction region, a patch controller configured to support the patch which contains a labeling substance that specifically labels the target substance, and control a position of the patch relative to the reaction region so that the patch provides the labeling substance to the reaction region, and a target substance detector configured to detect the labeling substance and detect the target substance included in the tissue sample.
System and method of using multi-chambered receptacles
A receptacle comprises opposed members, a plurality of chambers having perimeter walls defined by seals formed between the opposed members and portals interconnecting the chambers, and a rigid frame supporting the opposed members at their peripheral edges. The frame comprises a front frame portion and a rear frame portion, and the peripheral edges of the opposed members are retained between the front and rear frame portions. An inlet port extends between the front and rear frame portions and is in fluid communication with one of the chambers.
Automatic Analyzer, Cool Box, and Pouch
There is provided a cool box for use in an automatic analyzer. The cool box has a box body and an air circulator. The box body has a receiving space capable of accommodating therein receptacles for analytes or reagents. The circulator has an intake portion, a fan, and an exhaust portion and operates to circulate air in the receiving space by rotation of the fan. The circulator further includes an inhibitor removing agent retaining portion on which a pouch is set. The pouch contains an analysis inhibitor removing agent for removing components (analysis inhibitor) which adversely affect or inhibit analysis of the analytes.
SAMPLE AND REAGENT CONTAINERS WITH ANTI-VACUUM FEATURE
Pipetting containers, such as reservoirs, reservoir liners, microplates, PCR plates, microtubes and PCR tubes, include anti-vacuum channels on the bottom wall of the receptacle to prevent a pipette tip vacuum engaging the wall during aspiration. The groupings of anti-vacuum channels are located on the bottom surface facing upward into the basin that holds liquid samples or reagents. The anti-vacuum channels also lower the required working volume for pipetting and reduce liquid waste.
LABORATORY PAPER-STRUCTURED WEIGHING KIT
A laboratory weighing kit comprises two layers: a disposable paper-structured weighing boat in the upper layer and a corresponding-shaped weighing base in the lower layer. The weighing boat has a sample loading portion in the rear to carry chemicals or samples, and a funnel portion in the front to transfer samples. In order to consolidate storage space, either the front funnel can be opened to two portions or the back wall of the weighing boat is opened. The weighing boat can be creased to form a permanent fold. The weighing boat in the upper layer can be either removable from or permanently attached to the weighing base in the lower layer.
MONITORING SYSTEM AND DETECTING DEVICE
A purpose is to provide a monitoring system to monitor whether there is a substance to be monitored in the air, and a detecting device used in the monitoring system. The monitoring system includes a detecting device, an analyzing device, and an abnormality notification system. The detecting device determines whether the air is in an abnormal state on the basis of an output signal from an abnormality detection sensor, pours liquid to be inspected, into which the air is sucked and liquefied, into a previously-installed reagent container when determining the abnormal state, generates mixed liquid in which a reactant in the reagent container and the poured liquid to be inspected are mixed, and drops the generated mixed liquid to an electrode of the analyzing device. The analyzing device determines existence/non-existence of a substance to be monitored on the basis of the mixed liquid dropped to the electrode, and gives a predetermined notification to the abnormality notification system when determining that there is the substance to be monitored. The abnormality notification system gives a predetermined notification when receiving the notification from the analyzing device.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR SEPARATING BLOOD COMPONENTS
Apparatus and methods for separating blood components are disclosed in which an apparatus for separating blood generally includes a tube defining a channel and configured for receiving a quantity of blood and a float contained within the tube and having a density which is predefined so that the float is maintained at equilibrium between a first layer formed from a first fractional component of the blood and a second layer formed from a second fractional component of the blood. Upon completion of the centrifugation, the first layer may be removed from the tube while the float isolates the second layer from the first layer.
System and method for anatomical pathology sample handling, storage, and analysis
A carrier strip having a plurality of areas for retaining anatomical pathology specimens may have a backing, a cover coupled to the backing along side regions located along opposite longitudinal edges of the carrier strip and along lateral intermediate regions positioned between each of the plurality of areas for retaining anatomical pathology specimens. The carrier strip may be configured to individually retain each of the anatomical pathology specimens in one of the plurality of areas for retaining anatomical pathology specimens between the backing and the cover. Diagnostic studies of anatomical pathology specimens may be facilitated by distributing a digital copy of an image of the specimen may be to a pathologist. A diagnosis may be received from the pathologist based on the digital image of the specimen.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR HEATING OR COOLING A SAMPLE
A sample heating/cooling device (2) comprises a plurality of members (6) operable in use to heat and/or cool one or more samples (22). Each member (6) has a sample contact surface and is biased towards a resting position under the operation of a biasing means. The members (6) are movable independently of one another against said bias under the application of a force on the sample contact surface and so are able to conform to the shape of a sample placed on the members to provide a uniform heating/cooling profile. The members (6) may be mounted in a heating/cooling element (4) and adapted to conduct thermal energy between the sample (22) and the element (4). The device (2) is particularly suitable for thawing frozen sample bags having an irregular shape. A corresponding method is also described.
SUPPORT FOR A BIOLOGICAL SPECIES SAMPLE
A support for a biological species sample collected on a sampling device including a gripping rod and a capture element having a capture surface for receiving the sample. The capture element being assembled with the gripping rod in order to form a distal portion of the sampling device. The support has a flat main face delimited by at least one side and a recess opening on the side of the support in which the sampling device can be inserted. The recess has a groove formed on the main face of the support in order to receive the distal portion of the sampling device. The groove being configured to interact with the distal portion in order to securely hold it on or in the support.
