Pipette and method for adjusting a volume of a pipette to be pipetted
In order for the handling of a pipette to be improved, the pipettes (1) according to the invention and a method according to the invention for setting a volume of a pipette to be pipetted are proposed. In the case of the pipette (1) it is provided that the activation element (7) for activating the ejection mechanism (6) for ejecting a pipette tip forms a conduit (9) for the pipetting button (3). On account thereof, an activation face (10) of the activation element (7) is enlarged in such a manner that the handling of the ejection mechanism (6) of the pipette (1) is in particular simplified and is particularly comfortable. It is furthermore also proposed that the activation element (7) is coupled to the volume adjustment mechanism (11) of the pipette, and the adjustment of the volume to be pipetted by the pipette (1) is performed with the aid of a movement of the activation element (7)(FIG. 4).
Assay cartridg for molecular diagnosis
The present disclosure provides an assay cartridge used in a PCR-based molecular diagnostic device. In one embodiment, the assay cartridge comprises (1) an elongated body having a proximal end, a distal end and a plurality of compartments arranged between the proximal end and the distal end, said plurality of compartments include at least a first pipette tip holder near the proximal end, and a second pipette tip holder near the distal end; and (2) a seal assembly covering the elongated body comprising a rigid frame which matches the top periphery of the elongated body, and an elastic top mounted on the rigid frame, the elastic top comprising a first sub-portion near the proximal end comprising a first ring structure that matches the first pipette holder, and a second sub-portion near the distal end comprising a second ring structure that matches the second pipette holder.
Dispensing tip holder
A dispensing tip holder is used when a dispensing tip is attached to a tip of a pipette, and includes a peripheral wall having a shape surrounding an outer peripheral surface of the dispensing tip, and an insertion portion having an insertion opening into which the dispensing tip is to be inserted. The peripheral wall has a first end into which the dispensing tip is to be inserted, and has a second end provided at a position opposite to the first end. The insertion portion is formed in the peripheral wall such that an outer peripheral surface of the dispensing tip abuts against an edge of the insertion opening, and is formed in the peripheral wall such that a tip of the dispensing tip does not project from the second end of the peripheral wall, when the dispensing tip is inserted into the insertion opening from the first end.
SINGLE-USE, DISPOSABLE CONTAINER
The present invention provides for a single-use, disposable container and methods and apparatuses for testing liquid samples in a non-destructive fashion using the single-use, disposable container within a liquid sample analyzer. The single-use, disposable container reduces the overall sample volume contact within a flow path of the liquid sample analyzer, decreases the cleaning solution and drying time needed between sample analyses, and minimizes formation of particles during use of the container.
APPARATUS FOR DELIVERY OF LABORATORY CONSUMABLES
The invention provides a laboratory apparatus for the storage and delivery of samples or labware wherein the apparatus can have a plurality of beams for holding one or more containers of samples or labware consumables in a first set position; a conveyor for motional translation of the one or more supports from a first set position to a second set position where the conveyor has a first pulley in a first set of pulleys translationally connected by a first timing belt to a second pulley in the first set of pulleys, and a first pulley in a second set of pulleys translationally connected by a second timing belt to a second pulley in the second set of pulleys.
Devices and Methods for Pipette Alignment
A device comprising a base and a support structure is disclosed. The base includes a vial receptacle for holding a vial. The support structure is coupled to an upper portion of the base and is configured to align a pipette comprising a pipette tip vertically over the vial receptacle. The support structure is configured to support a pipette such that an end of a pipette tip is positioned one or more predetermined depths within a vial in the vial receptacle.
Devices and Methods for Particle Solution Testing
A method for withdrawing a solution comprising a plurality of particles from a vial is disclosed. The method includes agitating the vial at a first predetermined mixing speed to suspend the plurality of particles in the solution. The method also includes withdrawing, during the agitating, a first volume of the solution from the vial with a pipette, such that an end of a pipette tip is positioned at a first predetermined depth within the vial.
Devices and Methods for Particle Solution Preparation
A method for preparing an aliquot of solution comprising a plurality of particles is disclosed. The method includes agitating the solution with a baffle at a predetermined mixing speed to suspend the plurality of particles in the solution, wherein the baffle positioned at least partially within a vessel containing the solution, and wherein the vessel is engaged with a vessel receptacle configured to hold the vessel. The method also includes withdrawing, during the agitating, the aliquot of solution from the vessel with a pipette, such that an end of a pipette tip is positioned within the vessel.
Pipette Tip System
A pipetter is disclosed that has a suction lumen with an opening and an ejection bar that slides relative to the suction lumen. The pipette tip has a distal end opening and a proximal end with a rim. The pipette tip has a pipette wall with a low-force stretch region with a plurality of thinning channels. The system comprises at least three configurations: an insertion configuration, wherein (1) the suction lumen is inserted into the proximal opening, and (2) the ejection bar does not abut the rim; a sealed/installed configuration, wherein (1) the suction lumen forms a liquid-tight seal between the suction lumen and the pipette wall, and (2) the ejection bar abuts the rim, preventing further insertion of the suction lumen (95); and an ejection configuration, wherein (1) the ejection bar is slid towards the rim, and (2) the ejection bar dislodges the pipette tip from the suction lumen.
