SUBCULTURE SAMPLING DEVICE
An integrally formed hollow plastics spike (14, 16) adapted to be passed through the pierceable closure of a container, the hollow spike (14, 16) having a passageway (18) extending from a first end (28) to a second end (22, 24), the passageway (18) having a length L and a cross sectional area equivalent to a 5 circle of diameter D, wherein L divided by D is more than about 19. The integrally formed hollow plastics spike (14, 16) can be integrally formed with a cap (12) to form an integrally formed sampling cap or port (10).
Accessory holder with syringe assembly removal tool
A medical procedure accessory components holding unit and methods of using thereof. The accessory holder is designed to hold and store one or more components or medical devices that could be used in a medical procedure, particularly medical devices, for applying an anesthetic. The accessory holder may include four (4) medical device storage or use modules: a syringe disposal device module, a dispensing tool module, a canister module, and a syringe attachment module.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR RAPID DETECTION OF COVID-19 AND OTHER PATHOGENS
A device and method for detecting COVID-19 and other pathogens includes a sample compartment contained within an interior of the device and having multiple apertures for releasably receiving one or more test tubes containing a biological sample. A bottom portion of the test tube is contained within the interior of the device and a top portion of the test tube is exposed to atmosphere. The biological sample is lysed using the device; the lysed sample is mixed with one or more primers and then amplification (RT-LAMP) is performed using the device. A thermally conductive material on or in proximity to the sample compartment can facilitate precise heating of the compartment and sample. A thermally insulative material can be inside the interior of the housing. Multiple samples can be tested simultaneously. The results can be interpreted by a color change of the sample. The device is efficient, portable, reliable, and re-usable.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC CLOSURE OF SAMPLE VESSELS
A system and method for automatic closure of sample vessels such as vessels with medical laboratory samples, having a plurality of identically shaped, stackable closure caps with a convex outer face and concave inner face that are stacked in a closure cap stack such that an upper closure cap in the stack bears with its convex outer face on the concave inner face of a lower closure cap lying immediately below in the stack. The system includes a closure gripper for gripping an uppermost closure cap from the stack, for transferring the gripped closure cap to the sample vessel to be closed, and for introducing the gripped closure cap into an opening of the sample vessel in order to tightly close the opening. The closure gripper has a centering piece insertable into a closure cap such that it bears on the concave inner face of the closure cap.
Metering Head, Metering Device Comprising a Metering Head, and Method for Metering by Means of a Metering Head
A metering head for a metering machine having a carrier having parallel attachments for picking up pipette tips wherein each attachment has a tube having a supporting protrusion at the bottom end at least one sleeve which surrounds the tube and can be axially shifted on the tube, and at least one elastomer O-ring which surrounds the tube a pressure plate above the sleeves having a plurality of first holes through which the tubes extend, wherein the pressure plate can be shifted along the tubes from a release position into a clamping position where the sleeves are pressed, at the bottom ends, against the adjacent O-rings, and the O-rings are expanded to clamp pipette tips; and a first shifting apparatus connected to the pressure plate moving the pressure plate between the release position and clamping position.
System for port and tube holder assembly attachment device and methods of use
A positioning apparatus for restraining an object includes a base plate, an attachment plate, and a securing element. The base plate may include guides into which protrusions of the attachment plate slide to alter the positioning apparatus from an open position to a closed position. The base plate also includes receivers to receive tubular members, which have their movement restrained by the receivers and the securing elements in the closed position. The positioning apparatus may also include a latch to help maintain the closed position during operation.
A REACTIVE CARTRIDGE CARRYING SYSTEM
A reactive cartridge carrying system convenient for use with laboratory devices providing application of various measurement and analysis operation for chemical or biological content fluid materials and having a carrying chamber of structure convenient for carrying pipes containing chemical or biological content fluid material or fluid material, of equal or different shape or volume, placed in sequence side by side, a carrying cartridge containing a raise-connected to edges of carrying chambers far to the floor and facing each other, extending in a manner parallel to floor and departing from each other, an intermediate carrying part providing carrying of carrying cartridge and containing a gap convenient for placement into carrying cartridge, an upper surface extending in a manner horizontal to the floor, foot connected to upper surface edge, a cartridge holder part providing carrying of carrying cartridge and intermediate carrying part and of structure convenient for placement into laboratory device.
PIPETTING DEVICE
A pipetting device for taking up and dispensing volumes of fluid, which has an ejector mechanism which is actuable by means of an actuating means to eject or release a pipette tip plugged onto the pipetting device. The pipetting device has a coupling mechanism which is configured such that, in the unactuated state, actuating means and ejector mechanism are decoupled, and, when the actuating means is actuated, the latter is coupled to the ejector mechanism, causing a force exerted on the actuating means to transfer to the ejector mechanism. Also, the pipetting device can have a positioning mechanism which, when a pipette tip is not plugged on and the actuating means is unactuated, holds an ejector means, of the ejector mechanism in a basic position which is located between an ejection position and a plug-on position with a pipette tip plugged on.
Sampling port
A sampling port (10) has a generally cylindrical first portion (36), a generally cylindrical second portion (34) with a smaller diameter than the first portion (36) and a guide member (66) that rotates about a hinge (56) to extend into the second portion (34) to reduce the effective diameter of the second portion (34). The guide member (66) and/or the second and/or first portions (34, 36) are shaped so that the guide member can extend further into the sampling port (10) than a simple cylindrical guide member rotating into simple cylindrical first and second portions.
Integrated consumable data management system and platform
The present invention relates to methods, devices and systems for associating consumable data with an assay consumable used in a biological assay.
