Devices, systems, and methods for muscle recovery
A method, system and device for enhancing muscle training and performance by accelerating blood flow to the muscles and enhancing flow in the lymphatic system, incorporating mechanical stimulation and in some cases electrical stimulation of the muscle. A muscle recovery apparatus includes: an active compression device and an electrical stimulation device, where the active compression device is configured to be disposed about a user's muscle and to mechanically compress the user's muscle to facilitate muscle recovery, and where the electrical stimulation device is coupled to an inner surface of the active compression device, such that the electrical stimulation device can be placed in contact with the user to electrically stimulate the user's muscle.
Adaptive compression therapy systems and methods
Systems, devices and methods for providing active and/or passive compression therapy to a body part can include a compression device worn over a compression stocking. The compression device can have a pulley based drive train that is driven by a motor to tighten and loosen compression elements, such as compression straps, in a precise, rapid, and balanced manner. Sensors can be used in the compression device and/or compression stockings to provide feedback to modulate the compression treatment parameters.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR INCREASED BLOOD FLOW, HEALING, AND PAIN CONTROL
A device comprising a casing; at least one vibratory source; at least one power source; at least one switch to actuate the vibratory source; electrical communication between the vibratory source, the power source, and the switch; and an optional thermal element for modulating the temperature of a contacted area of a surface. Also disclosed herein are methods for using the disclosed device.
COMPRESSION GARMENT APPARATUS
A compression garment apparatus for a body part of an human and/or animal having a flexible backing, attaching means, a segmented flex frame, and a shape memory alloy on the segmented flex frame. The shape memory alloy can be connected to two terminals on the frame forming a circuit. A controller can be connected to the terminals applying current to the shape memory alloy at defined intervals providing intermittent, sequenced, or continuous compression therapy.
Acupressure device
An acupressure device includes an acupressure section, a driving part and a control part. The acupressure section is disposed in front of the belly and presses the belly. The driving part is connected to the acupressure section and fixed at a backside of a user and moving the acupressure section toward the belly. The control part is controlled by the user and changing an intensity of a pressure from the acupressure section.
ALIGNMENT BELT AND METHOD OF USING
An alignment belt has a main strap and a removable handle for positioning the strap about a person's pelvic region to more readily stretch specific areas of the body to remove stress from muscle, ligaments, tendons and connective tissue. In addition, methods of using and manufacturing the alignment belt are also disclosed.
Compression Belt Assembly for a Chest Compression Device
A chest compression device with a chest compression belt assembly including guards and sensors operable with a control system to control operation of the system depending on detection of proper installation of the guards.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR ASSISTING BREATHING
The present invention provides, among other things, apparatus and methods of use for treating a subject in need of assistance with breathing. In some embodiments the subject suffers from airflow obstruction. In some embodiments, the subject suffers from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Muscular strength assisting apparatuses and methods of controlling the same
A muscular strength assisting apparatus may include: a wearing unit configured to enclose a part of a user's body; a tightening unit configured to pull the wearing unit in one or both directions; and/or a control unit configured to drive the tightening unit to tighten the part of the user's body on which the wearing unit is located, when it is determined that muscular contraction occurs at the part of the user's body on which the wearing unit is located. A method of controlling a muscular strength assisting apparatus may include: determining whether muscular contraction occurs at a part of a user's body that is enclosed by a wearing unit; and/or driving a tightening unit pulling the wearing unit in one direction or both directions to tighten the part of the user's body on which the wearing unit is located when it is determined that the muscular contraction occurs.
