DEVICE FOR DETECTING PRESENCE OR ABSENCE OF A CHEMICAL OR BIOLOGICAL TARGET WITHIN A SAMPLE COMPRISING AN ELECTRODE FUNCTIONALISED WITH AN ANTIBODY AND CORRESPONDING DETECTION METHOD
A device, liquid handling cartridge and related method for detecting the presence or absence of a chemical or biological target within a sample. The method includes the steps of: providing an electrochemical cell with a first electrode module and a second electrode; providing an electronic component between the first electrode module and the second electrode; introducing the sample into the electrochemical cell; measuring the potential difference between the first electrode module and second electrode; and confirming the presence of the chemical or biological target if the measured potential difference exceeds a predetermined threshold value.
STRIP HOLDER
The invention relates to a strip holder consisting of a housing with a front side and a back side, the housing comprising at least one strip receiving channel, at least one fluid receiving channel, at least one fluid reservoir, and optionally at least one ventilation channel. The invention also relates to a use of the strip holder, a method as well as to a kit comprising the strip holder.
Methods and systems for nucleic acid analysis and quantification
The present disclose provides methods and systems for amplifying and quantifying nucleic acids and for detecting the presence or absence of a target in a sample. The methods and systems provided herein may utilize a device comprising a plurality of partitions separated from an external environment by a gas-permeable barrier. Certain methods disclosed herein involve subjecting nucleic acid molecules in the plurality of partitions to conditions sufficient to conduct nucleic acid amplification reactions. The nucleic acid molecules may be subjected to controlled heating in the plurality of partitions to generate data indicative of a melting point(s) of the nucleic acid molecules.
Bio-Chips and Production Method Thereof
The present invention is related to a biochip and production method thereof. The biochip comprises a carrier, a cell or tissue culture area deposited on the carrier, and a sensor area deposited on the carrier adjacent and fluidly communicating with the cell or tissue culture area. A containing space is contained in the cell or tissue culture area comprising a simulated vascular channel, a cell or a tissue and a culture medium. At least one sensor fixation area is contained at the sensor area for placing a sensor element. The present invention can be a model for stimulating cancer of specific patient to realtimely reflecting the cancer formation, transferring status and treatment strategies. The biochip could also carry testing drugs to observe how the drugs functioning to the cells/tissue as to provide a more accurate instruction of the drugs. The present invention can perform multiple test just within on chip which can save cost and also provide a more accurate test model for the patient.
MICROFLUIDIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING PARTICLES
A microfluidic device, intended for processing particles, in particular cells. This device includes a processing chamber with at least two elongated segments, one input seeding channel and one output seeding channel configured to define a seeding flow, and connection channels configured to allow the seeding flow through all the processing chambers serially.
GENOME EXTRACTION DEVICE INCLUDING FLOW COVER
Provided is a genome extraction device including a flow cover, more particularly a genome extraction device which includes a base plate, thereby forming a closed flow path inside and preventing a problem of narrowing of the flow path according to close contact coupling between components.
AMPLIFICATION MODULE WITH GAS MOVING PASSAGE AND EXTRACT MOVING PASSAGE
Provided is an amplification module with a gas moving passage and an extract moving passage, more particularly an amplification module in which, when an extract is input from a genome extraction device in which the amplification module is installed, a quantitative amount of the extract is input to each accommodating portion so that the accuracy of detection can be increased.
MICROFLUIDIC DEVICES
A microfluidic device comprising: an inlet section, for receiving a body fluid sample, the inlet section comprising an inlet port arranged to receive a supply of body fluid; a metering function configured to receive body fluid from the inlet section and comprising a first channel; and a sequent section configured to receive the body fluid from the metering function and comprising a second channel, wherein the first channel comprises a capillary stop valve configured to interrupt or reduce flow of the body fluid therethrough, and a means for visual inspection arranged adjacent to the capillary stop valve, wherein a geometry and/or dimension of the inlet port is configured such that when the supply of body fluid to the inlet port is removed, the Laplace pressure of a body fluid meniscus at the inlet port is higher than a threshold pressure of the capillary stop valve.
Systems and methods for integration of microfluidic tear collection and lateral flow analysis of analytes of interest
Systems, methods, and devices for analyzing small volumes of fluidic samples, as a non-limiting example, less than twenty microliters are provided. The devices are configured to make a first sample reading, for example, measure an energy property of the fluid sample, for example, osmolality, make a second sample reading, for example, detecting the presence or concentration of one or more analytes in the fluid sample, or make both the first sample reading and the second sample reading, for example, measuring the energy property of the fluid sample as well as detecting the presence or concentration of one or more analytes in the fluid sample.
Compact device for detection of nanoscale analytes
Disclosed are cartridge components, cartridges, systems, and methods for isolating analytes from biological samples. In various aspects, the cartridge components, cartridges, systems, and methods may allow for a rapid procedure that requires a minimal amount of material from complex fluids.
