Closed system chemical handling and delivery system and method
A closed system chemical handling and delivery system includes an enclosure having a sealable opening accommodating the ingress and egress of chemical containers with an interior of the enclosure, a glove opening formed in the enclosure to which a glove is attached to and extends into the interior of the enclosure, a viewing window coupled to the enclosure providing a view into the interior of the enclosure, a chemical delivery drain in fluid communication with the interior of the enclosure, and a mixing valve in selective fluid communication with the chemical delivery drain.
Vial transport element and assembly
An element and a vial transport assembly made of a plurality of elements joined together to form a unitary row for storing and transporting vials and other such containers is disclosed. The elements are pivotally joined together to form the row, and a means for receiving and retaining a vial is removably seated on an inner face of the element. Complementary magnets arranged to secure adjacent elements in registration maintain the assembly in a closed position.
Device and method of collection for RNA viruses
The present disclosure generally relates to a method and device for inactivation and dry storage, under ambient conditions, of a biological sample containing RNA virus. Methods for collecting and recovering RNA from a biological sample and subsequent analysis for a virus are also provided.
Weighing Fume Cupboard
A weighing fume cupboard (1) for weighing pharmaceutically active or toxic substances in a laboratory, comprising a housing (10) which defines a working space (19), wherein a front side of the housing (10) has a working opening (11) which is open at all times during intended use of the weighing fume cupboard (1), a working plate (20) which delimits the working space (19) at the bottom side, an armrest (40) in the region of the working opening (11), and a support (30) which bears the weight of the housing (10), of the working plate (20) and of the armrest (40), wherein, during intended use of the weighing fume cupboard, the working plate (20) is decoupled in terms of shocks and vibrations from the housing (10), from the armrest (40) and from the support (30).
Balance Enclosure
The invention relates to a balance enclosure 1 for weighing pharmaceutically active or toxic substances in a laboratory, comprising a housing 10 which defines a working chamber 19. The housing 10 has a constantly open working opening 11 on the front face of the housing when the balance enclosure is used as intended and a transparent front pane 14 which is arranged above the working opening 11, can be pivoted from an open position into a closed position, and is connected to an upper part 12 of the housing 10 by means of a hinge 13. The balance enclosure also comprises a working plate 20 which delimits the working chamber 19 on the base side, and a light source is provided within or on the hinge 13, said light source completely illuminating the working plate 20.
Weighing Take-Off
The invention relates to a weighing take-off (1) for weighing pharmaceutically active or toxic substances in a laboratory, comprising a housing (10), which defines a working space (19), wherein a front side of the housing (10) has a working opening (11) that is always open during proper use of the weighing take-off, a working plate (20), which bounds the working space (19) at the bottom, and an arm rest (40), which is arranged on a front edge of the working plate (20) in the region of the working opening (11), wherein a control panel (42) is integrated in the arm rest (40) in such a way that a surface of the arm rest (40) facing away from the working plate (20) is flush with a surface of the control panel (42).
Specimen collection container assembly
A specimen collection container includes inner and outer tubes. The inner tube includes a bottom end, a top end, and a sidewall extending therebetween defining an interior. The sidewall includes an inner surface and an outer surface having at least one annular protrusion extending therefrom. The inner tube includes at least one funnel portion adjacent the top end for directing a specimen into the inner tube interior, and an annular ring disposed about a portion of the outer surface of the sidewall adjacent the top end. The outer tube includes a bottom end, a top end, and a sidewall extending therebetween, the sidewall having an outer surface and an inner surface defining an annular recess adapted to receive a portion of the annular protrusion therein. The inner tube is disposed within the outer tube and a portion of the top end of the outer tube abuts the annular ring.
INCUBATOR SYSTEM
An incubator system includes an incubator having a housing defining a chamber, an input port in the housing of the incubator; and a module having an output port configured to releasable mate with the input port of the housing. The module is configured to perform a function. An incubator system is also provided that includes an incubator having a housing defining a chamber, a peripheral device in the chamber configured to manipulate samples, and a master controller configured to control the incubator and the peripheral device. The peripheral device is at least one of powered wirelessly and communicated with wirelessly.
Handgrip test strip ejector
In a first aspect, the present invention provides a handgrip configured to extract an analysis strip from a groove of an analyser. The handgrip comprises a casing piece configured to be attached with the analyser, and a retaining piece having a retaining portion. The retaining piece is movable with respect to the casing piece in such a way that the retaining portion is movable in a first direction from a proximal position to a distal position relative to the casing piece. The retaining portion is configured to retain the analysis strip during at least part of its movement from the proximal to the distal position, and to avoid retaining the analysis strip at least when the retaining portion is in any of the proximal and distal positions.
Microdevices and biosensor cartridges for biological or chemical analysis and systems and methods for the same
A flow cell including inlet and outlet ports in fluid communication with each other through a flow channel that extends therebetween. The flow channel includes a diffuser region and a field region that is located downstream from the diffuser region. The field region of the flow channel directs fluid along reaction sites where desired reactions occur. The fluid flows through the diffuser region in a first flow direction and through the field region in a second flow direction. The first and second flow directions being substantially perpendicular.
