VIAL HOLDER
A vial holder for holding and stabilizing vials, the vial holder comprising a base, and both a vertical mount and a horizontal mount extending from one side of the base. The vertical mount comprises a cylindrical cavity configured to receive and rotatably attach the vial to the base such that the vial is held to the base in a generally vertical orientation, while the horizontal mount comprises a body support and a neck support configured to receive and rotatably attach the body and the neck of the vial to the base such that the vial is held to the base in a generally horizontal orientation. In both orientations, the vial holder of the present invention provides easy access to most of the exterior surfaces of the vials and reduces safety hazards associated with creating sample defects on vials for purposes of qualification testing for vial inspectors.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRACKING WELLS IN A MULTI-WELL PLATE
A well tracking device includes a rectangular frame including four sidewalls. The sidewalls define sets of opposing grooves, and the well tracking device is configured to receive or fit on top of a multi-well plate. The well tracking device also includes a well coordinate indicator positioned on an upper portion of the rectangular frame, that includes labels associated with columns and/or rows of the multi-well plate. The well tracking device also includes at least one slider that is configured to interface with a set of opposing grooves and slide along a width or length of the rectangular frame. The slider includes a plurality of openings disposed along the elongated shape of the slider.
TELESCOPING ELECTRIC PIPETTE CONTROLLER
A telescoping electric pipette controller has a handle, a head end portion, an outer shell and a manual retainer. One end of the head end portion is arranged in an end portion of the handle in a penetrating manner, the outer shell is sheathed over an outer surface of the end portion of the handle, and one end portion of the manual retainer is rotatably connected to the outer shell. By means of opening or fastening the manual retainer, one end portion of the manual retainer is released outwards or pressed inwards against the head end portion, allowing extension and retraction of the head end portion relative to the handle. The extension and retraction, as well as the locking of part of a grip structure, are controlled by means of a switch, allowing the grip to change the length within a specific range.
DOOR FOR A LABORATORY WORKSTATION
A door for a laboratory workstation is disclosed. The laboratory workstation has a horizontally extending work surface for providing a working area. The door is movable in relation to the work surface in a vertical direction perpendicular to the work surface between a safety position, in which the door closes the working area for manual access of a user, an access position in which the working area is open for manual access of a user, and a loading position.
ORGANIZING RACK FOR POOL TESTING
An organizing rack for pooled testing of test samples, as well as a kit for the same, and methods of their use are disclosed. Organizing racks may be used to assist with the creation and testing of specifically organized test sample pools which may be used to minimize the number of tests required to screen a plurality of test samples. Multiple organizing racks may be used in a matrix-based fashion to further reduce the number of tests required to screen a large number of test samples.
Swab for collecting biological specimens
A method for collecting biological specimens using a swab of the type consisting of a rod terminating in a tip covered with fiber with hydrophilic properties to allow absorption of said specimens, wherein said fiber covers said tip in the form of a layer deposited by flocking.
MICROFLUIDIC SYSTEM
A microfluidic system includes a chip holder that holds a microchip including a plurality of reservoirs, a chip cover, a sealing member; a dispensing probe, a suction mechanism, a first storage where a first cleaning solution is stored, a second storage where a second cleaning solution is stored, a pump, a channel switch, and a controller. The channel switch is configured to switch between a channel through which the first cleaning solution is suctioned from the first storage and a channel through which the second cleaning solution is suctioned from the second storage. The controller controls operations of the channel switch and the pump.
A HOLDER FOR PIPETTE TIPS
A holder for holding pipette tips of a molecular diagnostics assay analyser comprises a frame comprising a plurality of bores which are separated from each other, each bore configured to removably hold a first end of a pipette tip and a drip tray spaced apart from the plurality of bores, the drip tray configured to receive a second end of a pipette tip when said pipette tip is held by one of the plurality of bores, thereby allowing the pipette tip to be placed in the holder for re-use.
TRANSPORT CONTAINER AND TRANSPORT METHOD
A transport container includes: a bottom member where the transported object is placed; left and right side members disposed beside the bottom member; a handle disposed above the bottom member; left and right lower connecting members interconnecting the bottom member and side members; and left and right upper connecting members interconnecting the side and the handle members, which are respectively interconnected via hinges. When the handle is not lifted, the side members are separated from the bottom member. When the handle is lifted, the side members laterally support the transported object. As for the transport method, with the transported object stacked in the up-down direction, the transport container is installed at an unloading location such that the lower and upper connecting members are laid to be non-parallel to the side member, and the transported object is taken out from the front or rear between the left and right side members.
SUCTION DEVICE FOR PIPETTES
The present invention relates to a suction device (1) to be used together with a pipette, in particular a Pasteur pipette. The suction device comprises a base element (2) with the bore (2a) for the insertion of a pipette (5), and a body connected to the base element, wherein the interior of the body is hollow, wherein at least the body is made of a flexible material, so that the inner volume of the body (3) is variable. Herein, the base element is formed in a polygonal or elliptic shape, so that the shape of the base element is not round and hence prevents a rolling of the suction device over a lab bench or the like.
