ORAL IRRIGATOR WITH VARIABLE MOTOR DRIVE
An oral irrigator comprising a reservoir, a pump in fluid communication with the reservoir, where the pump pumps fluid from the reservoir to an outlet, a motor coupled to the pump to drive the pump, a control module in electrical communication with the motor to vary an output of the motor, wherein when a first setting corresponding to a first pressure output for the outlet is selected the control module drives the motor by applying a first voltage waveform to the motor and when a second setting corresponding to a second pressure output for the outlet is selected the control module drives the motor by applying a second voltage waveform to the motor, where the second voltage waveform is different from the first voltage waveform.
Reduced form factor oral irrigator
An oral irrigator has a base unit housing a motor and a pump, a removable reservoir defining a reservoir cavity configured to mechanically couple to a top surface of the base unit and fluidly couple the reservoir cavity to the pump, and a belt drive assembly connecting the motor to the pump. The belt drive assembly includes a drive pulley connected to an output shaft of the motor, a driven pulley spaced apart from the drive pulley and mechanically connected to a piston that drives the pump, and a continuous belt connecting the drive pulley to the driven pulley. A handle for the oral irrigator may include a housing defining a slot formed in an outer wall of the housing.
Hydro pulse water flosser with reservoir
The present invention provides an advanced water flosser utilizing a direct water source, such as, but not limited to, an attachment to a shower head, that also may embody a reservoir and/or compartment capable of introducing other desirable substances designed to enhance the teeth cleaning process, such as, but not limited to fluoride, antibiotics, mouthwash, whiteners and the like.
ORAL IRRIGATOR WITH VARIABLE OUTPUT FLUID CHARACTERISTICS
An oral irrigator including a reservoir, a tip in fluid communication with the reservoir, a pump in fluid communication with the tip and the reservoir, where the motor drives the pump. The oral irrigator also includes a control module electrically coupled to the motor to vary an output of the motor. During a normal mode, the control module drives the motor to output a normal pulse rate, a normal flow rate, and a normal fluid pressure as the fluid exits the tip and during a massage mode, the control module drives the motor to output a massage pulse rate, a massage flow rate, and a massage fluid pressure as the fluid exits the tip. The massage pulse rate is lower than the normal pulse rate, the massage fluid pressure is lower than the normal fluid pressure, and the massage fluid pressure is lower than the normal fluid pressure.
Reduced form factor oral irrigator
An oral irrigator has a removable reservoir defining a reservoir cavity, a base unit housing a motor and a pump, and a handle for directing fluid flow from the pump removably connected to the base unit and fluidly coupled to the pump by a hose. The handle has a housing defining a slot formed in an outer wall of the housing. The slot is bounded by two opposing walls spaced apart from each other and a transverse wall at a terminal interior end of the opposing walls. The outer wall of the housing is open to the slot at lateral sides of the two opposing walls and at a base end of the opposing walls opposite the transverse wall.
Oral irrigator with massage mode
An irrigating device, such as an oral irrigator or a nasal irrigator. The irrigating device includes a pump and a motor connected to the pump and configured to selectively drive the pump. Additionally, the irrigating device includes a massage module in communication with the motor. During a normal mode, the pump has a first pulse rate and during a massage mode, the massage module provides a massage control signal to the motor, causing the pump to have a second pulse rate.
NOZZLE FOR ORAL IRRIGATOR DEVICE INCLUDING A DYNAMIC NOZZLE ACTUATOR WITH RESPONSIVE MATERIALS
A nozzle (12) for an oral irrigator device (10) having a guidance tip (34) with an orifice at one end, and a dynamic nozzle actuator (64) positioned within said guidance tip. The orifice (36) is configured to expel a fluid as one of a jet, a spray, or any combination thereof. The dynamic nozzle actuator (64) comprises at least one responsive material adapted for being energized and configured to implement at least one dynamic actuation of an effective channel (62) for dynamically influencing at least one of (i) a direction of fluid expelled from the orifice (36), (ii) an angle of fluid expelled from the orifice (36), (iii) a cross-sectional width of fluid expelled from the orifice (36), and (iv) any combination thereof.
Oral irrigator with integrated lid and base
An irrigating device including a massage mode module in communication with a motor driving a pump. During a normal mode the pump has a first pulse rate and during massage mode the massage mode module provides a massage control signal to the motor to cause the pump to have a second pulse rate. In other embodiments, the disclosure includes an oral irrigator including a base and a reservoir removably connected to the base. The oral irrigator further includes a prow operably connected to the base and extending vertically upwards from the base. The prow may extend in a similar direction as sidewalls of the reservoir. The oral irrigator further includes a lid rotatably connected to the prow. The lid rotates between a first position where a fluid cavity of the reservoir is exposed to a second position where the lid covers at least a portion of the fluid cavity.
