DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MEASUREMENT OF SARS-CoV-2 SPECIFIC ANTIGEN IN A BIOLOGICAL SAMPLE
A device for retaining a biological sample, for measuring a concentration of a SARS-CoV2 specific antigen, with SARS-CoV2 antigen-specific and electrochemically active immunoreceptor that is conjugated with an electrochemically active substance and optionally including an electrode reactivity enhancement agent and antibody stabilization agent. The immunoreceptor is configured to be in chemical contact with electrodes and a biological sample with SARS-CoV2 specific antigen of the device. The present invention also provides a device holder for holding the device of the present invention and a point-of-care biosensor. A method for measuring a concentration of SARS-CoV2 specific antigen from a reduced volume of biological sample is also provided in the presence of the antigen-specific and electrochemically active immunoreceptor, by measuring a peak value of redox current of the SARS-CoV2 antigen-specific and electrochemically active immunoreceptor and determining a concentration of SARS-CoV2 specific antigen in the biological sample, by linearly matching with a corresponding reference redox current.
Paper substrate diagnostic apparatus and related methods and systems
Example paper substrate diagnostic apparatus and related methods and systems are disclosed herein. An example apparatus includes a hydrophobic substrate having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The apparatus includes a detection zone on a first surface of the substrate, the detection zone defining an area to sense an analyte in a sample, the detection zone comprising a first electrode and a second electrode disposed on the first surface of the substrate and a layer of hydrophilic ink disposed on the two electrodes and an area between the first and second electrodes. The apparatus also includes a channel comprising hydrophilic ink disposed on the first surface of the substrate, the channel having an inlet section adjacent the first end of the substrate, a middle section, and an outlet section in contact with the layer of hydrophilic ink. The channel is to transfer a fluid sample from the inlet section to the layer of hydrophilic ink.
Blood collection device, method, and system for using the same
Disclosed is a fluid collection device wherein multiple, individual samples of fluid can be collected simultaneously. The device includes a chamber and an adapter which substantially and simultaneously distributes the blood to individual chambers with chamber specific additives. Also included is a system for using the blood collection device, preferably within a diagnostic testing laboratory.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR CELL DETECTION
The present disclosure relates to a cartridge, detection module, system, and kit for cell and particle detection and analysis. Devices disclosed herein may include at least an optical source, a fluidic chip, and a detection module, wherein the sample flows within the fluidic chip past a detection window, where the cells or particles are imaged by an image acquisition and analysis module that may include an optical detector. The image acquisition and analysis module may count the cells or particles of interest in real-time, or near real-time, or the module may capture images of the cells in order to analyze the sample from combined images at a later time.
Test tube
A test tube for containing a liquid and electrically connected to a blockchain network is provided. The test tube includes a tube body, a cover, at least one overlay unit, a chipset and a detection module. The tube body contains the liquid. The cover is disposed at the top of the tube body and including at least one drip tube. The overlay unit covers the drip tube. The chipset is disposed on the tube body and includes a blockchain tracer. The blockchain tracer records the source of the liquid and a transportation history of the test tube in the blockchain network for tracing. The detection module is disposed on the tube body and electrically connected to the chipset, for measuring a liquid property of the liquid.
TRANSPORTER SYSTEMS, ASSEMBLIES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS FOR TRANSPORTING TISSUE SAMPLES
A tissue sample that has been removed from a subject can be properly fixed for evaluation using the disclosed transporter assembly for carrying a tissue sample and method for fixing an unfixed tissue sample. In one embodiment, the disclosed assembly includes a transport container, a fixative in the transport container, and a cooling device that reduces and/or maintains the temperature of the fixative to perform a pre-soaking process at a temperature of less than about 7° C. The pre-soaking process can, for example, be performed during sample transport or during extended periods of storage, such as over a weekend.
Tamper-resistant chemical sampling
Methods, systems, and apparatuses are disclosed for a tamper-resistant collection and retention a chemical sample. In one embodiment, the tamper-resistant system comprises a container operable to collect and retain a chemical sample, a tamper-resistant mechanism operable to disengage at a first chemical sample to allow for a collection of a chemical sample, wherein the tamper-resistant mechanism is operable to record one or more of: a date, a time, and a location, of the chemical sample during the collection of the chemical sample, and wherein the tamper-resistant mechanism is further operable to re-engage and lock after the collection of the chemical sample to resist subsequent chemical samples after the first chemical sampling.
