REVERSE TRANSCRIPTION POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION DIAGNOSTIC TESTING DEVICE
A diagnostic testing device for detecting sequences of genetic material and other targeted molecules by collecting at least one sample, purifying and enriching the at least one sample for reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, performing reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, and indicating the presence or absence of an at least one targeted molecule or sequence of genetic material. The device is comprised of a housing which is further comprised of an exterior component, an interior component, and a testing assembly disposed therein. The device is mobile, thereby permitting convenient diagnostic use and effective storage and concealment when not in use, and laboratory-independent, thereby dismissing any need for laboratory technician intervention and input.
TRANSPORTER SYSTEMS, ASSEMBLIES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS FOR TRANSPORTING TISSUE SAMPLES
A tissue sample that has been removed from a subject can be properly fixed for evaluation using the disclosed transporter assembly for carrying a tissue sample and method for fixing an unfixed tissue sample. In one embodiment, the disclosed assembly includes a transport container, a fixative in the transport container, and a cooling device that reduces and/or maintains the temperature of the fixative to perform a pre-soaking process at a temperature of less than about 7° C. The pre-soaking process can, for example, be performed during sample transport or during extended periods of storage, such as over a weekend.
ON-DEMAND THERMOREGULATION ELEMENT OR SYSTEM FOR STORAGE AND TRANSPORT OF TEMPERATURE SENSITIVE MATERIALS
A container may include a storage volume configured to store a payload. A thermal insulation layer may surround the storage volume. A thermoregulation layer may surround the thermal insulation layer. There may be activation of a chemical reaction in the thermoregulation layer. The thermal insulation layer may have R-value per inch configured to expose the payload to a desired temperature to ensure viability of the payload and dampen a temperature spike of the chemical reaction. A system of containers may include a system storage volume with N containers in the system storage volume, wherein N is a whole number of 2 or more. A method of making an insulated container may include preparing an outer skin barrier layer, stacking a thermoregulation layer on the outer skin barrier layer, stacking a thermal insulation layer on the thermoregulation layer, and stacking an inner skin barrier layer on the thermal insulation layer.
PARAFFIN-EMBEDDED BLOCK PREPARATION DEVICE
A holding portion includes a first holding portion and a second holding portion that respectively hold a first cassette holder and a second cassette holder, a chemical liquid bottle holding portion including a first chemical liquid bottle holding portion and a second chemical liquid bottle holding portion, and a paraffin-filled bottle holding portion including a first paraffin-filled bottle holding portion and a second paraffin-filled bottle holding portion. The first cassette holder is inserted into the chemical liquid bottle provided to the first chemical liquid bottle holding portion and the paraffin-filled bottle provided to the first paraffin-filled bottle holding portion. Furthermore, the second cassette holder is inserted into the chemical liquid bottle provided to the second chemical liquid bottle holding portion and the paraffin-filled bottle provided to the second paraffin-filled bottle holding portion.
Warmer for promoting a biological reaction
The present invention relates to the use of warmers, or autonomous heat packs, for heating and maintaining a solution at a suitable temperature, for the period of time required to accomplish a chemical, biochemical or biological reaction, in particular in molecular biology or cell biology applications. Biology kits containing warmers are also part of this invention.
Multiplexed Biological Assay Device with Electronic Readout
This invention relates generally to devices, systems, and methods for performing biological assays by using indicators that modify one or more optical properties of the assayed biological samples. The subject methods include generating a reaction product by carrying out a biochemical reaction on the biological sample introduced into a device and reacting the reaction product with an indicator capable of generating a detectable change in an optical property of the biological sample to indicate the presence, absence, or amount of analyte suspected to be present in the sample.

Systems and methods for performing biological assays
Systems and methods for performing biological assays are provided herein. The systems and methods determine one or more characteristics of a nucleic acid amplification sample based on a modified optical property of the sample.
Devices and methods for biological assay sample preparation and delivery
Devices and methods for preparing and delivering biological assay samples are provided herein. Components of such devices include a sample receiving module within which a biological assay sample can be prepared and a cap, which when operatively coupled with the sample receiving module, pressurizes the module. These devices can be employed for subsequently delivering a biological assay sample.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR THAWING BIOLOGICAL MATERIAL
Provided herein are devices and methods for thawing frozen biological material.
