A lactation aid is disclosed having an outer layer defining a cavity and a core material located in the cavity, the core material being adapted to be one or more of: heated and cooled. The lactation aid is adapted to be manually rolled over a breast. The lactation aid may include protrusions, which protrusions may be hollow such that core material at least partially extends into the protrusions. A temperature indicator may also be present. The lactation aid may combine three therapeutic components: application of temperature (heating or cooling), movement and compression to breast tissue.

The attachment may include at least one of an actuator configured to provide the at least one therapeutic effect to the user and a sensor configured to obtain at least one of biometric data of the user and information regarding operation of the percussive therapy device.

A percussive therapy system includes a percussive therapy device that includes a housing, an electrical source, a motor positioned in the housing, a switch for activating the motor, a push rod assembly operatively connected to the motor and configured to reciprocate in response to activation of the motor, and an attachment configured to be operatively connected to a distal end of the push rod assembly of the percussive massage device and to provide at least one therapeutic effect to a user. The attachment may include at least one of an actuator configured to provide the at least one therapeutic effect to the user and a sensor configured to obtain at least one of biometric data of the user and information regarding operation of the percussive therapy device.

The thermotherapeutic apparatus includes a pretreatment portion which extracts a ballistocardiogram signal sensed by a weight detecting sensor, a heartbeat signal extractor which extracts a heartbeat signal from the pretreated signal, and a mode performer which performs control to calculate a heart rate on the basis of the extracted heartbeat signal, to determine a massage mode according to the calculated heart rate, and to automatically set a massage pattern, a massage level, and a massage temperature of the corresponding massage mode so as to perform the corresponding massage mode.
