A ROLL FOR A ROLLER PRESS, AS WELL AS A ROLLER PRESS PROVIDED WITH SUCH A ROLL
The invention relates to a roll for a roller press suitable for comminution of granular material by interparticle crushing, as well as a roller press provided with such a roll. In certain applications and under specific operational conditions the autogenous layer starts to displace or flow between the outwardly extending wear-resistant surface studs. This flow of granular material has a low velocity relative to the roll and can cause excessive wear to the base material of the outer cylindrical pressing surface of the roll, instead of protecting it.
Transport and processing roller for a harvester
A conveying and conditioning roller for a harvesting machine is provided on the surface thereof with teeth in the form of toothed strips which extend over the longitudinal extent of the roller and in each case have a leading tooth flank and a trailing tooth flank as well as a tooth edge. The roller is provided with wear protection zones continuously or in partial regions, the wear resistance thereof being greater than that of the material of the base body of the roller. The base body has a tooth structure determining the shape of the teeth and tooth wear protection zones are formed on the trailing tooth flanks by a high energy radiation process, substantially maintaining the geometry of the tooth structure, roller wear protection zones being formed together thereby on the rollers, as well as a method for producing such a roller wear protection zone.

Apparatus and method for conditioning bamboo or vegetable cane fiber
Systems, methods, and apparatus for conditioning bamboo or other types of vegetable cane are provided. In one aspect, the present technology provides a cane processing assembly for use with a substantially flattened sheet of bamboo culm or vegetable cane having a plurality of longitudinally oriented fiber bundles. The assembly comprises first and second conditioning rollers configured to apply pressure to the sheet that breaks at least some natural bonds connecting laterally adjacent fiber bundles in the sheet. The first and second conditioning rollers are adjustable relative to each other so as to vary the pressure applied to the sheet by the first and second conditioning rollers.

Sizer tooth
A sizer tooth assembly for a mineral sizer is described. The tooth assembly includes a horn protrusion extending from a rotatable support, the horn protrusion having a pair of opposed front and rear faces; and a shell structure encapsulating the horn protrusion and defining the outer shape of the sizer tooth; wherein the shell structure comprises exactly two cover formations which are non-releasably secured to one another but not to the horn protrusion, to define when so secured a unitary tooth assembly. Each of the two cover formations seats upon and presents an inward engagement face to a respective one of the pair of opposed front and rear faces of the horn protrusion; and each such engagement face of a cover formation and its corresponding face of the horn protrusion are provided with a complementary arrangement of projections and recesses configured such that when the two cover formations are non-releasably secured to one another the shell structure is releasably connected upon the horn protrusion. A mineral sizer including such tooth assemblies and a method of constructing such a tooth assembly and especially of constructing a replacement for repair are also described.

Apparatus and method for variable sizing of particulates
A particulate sizer includes an infeed for receiving a plurality of particulates, a first roller, and a second roller. The first and second rollers break down the plurality of particulates as the plurality of particulates passes through a gap between the first and second rollers. The width of the gap varies along a length of the first and second rollers. Accordingly, the first and second rollers compress some particulates to a first size and compress other particulates to a second smaller size. In addition, each of the first and second rollers has a textured outer surface for carrying the plurality of particulates through the gap.
