Grain crushing apparatuses and processes
Disclosed are grain crushing apparatuses and processes for processing grain. In one embodiment, a grain crushing apparatus includes a first and second sidewall spaced apart from one another a throat dimension in a first direction, and a first and second support shaft positioned transverse to the first and sidewall. The grain crushing apparatus also includes a first and second grain crushing roller. The grain crushing rollers are intermeshed with one another and maintained at positions spaced apart from one another such that they overlap by a distance less than the tooth height. The process is a method for the grown and harvested grain to be shelled, cleaned, stored and then incrementally or iteratively crushed by the shown apparatus or an equal type such that the crushed grain of various sizes may be separated by a sieve and remain as crushed grain with the germ protected uncut, unruptured and intact.

Canola Seed Sample Crusher
A canola seed sample crusher features a frame, and a drum rotatably carried on the frame and having an array of seed pockets on an outer periphery thereof. The seed pockets are sized and shaped to receive individual canola seeds respectively therein. A pathway is arranged to receive a length of adhesive tape and guide same over the seed pockets in the outer periphery of the drum during rotation thereof to adhesively collect the sample of canola seeds from the seed pockets onto the adhesive tape. A crushing mechanism is carried on the frame and operatively installed at a position along the pathway to crush the sample of canola seeds collected on the adhesive tape during passage of the tap through the crushing mechanism.

A canola seed sample crusher features a frame, and a drum rotatably carried on the frame and having an array of seed pockets on an outer periphery thereof. The seed pockets are sized and shaped to receive individual canola seeds respectively therein. DRIVE ASSEMBLY FOR A ROLL CRUSHER
A drive arrangement for a roll crusher includes two rollers arranged in parallel, two trains, each for driving a roller. The two drive trains each has a gear transmission including a drive shaft which can connect to a motor and an output shaft which can connect with a roller. Each gear transmission includes an intermediate shaft arranged between the drive shaft and the output shaft. The intermediate shafts are connected to each other via a slip-free torque transmission device which allows an offset of the gear transmissions in relation to each other in combination with a torque limiting clutch which terminates the connection for a conjoint rotation of the intermediate shafts when an adjustable torque is exceeded.
