IMPACT MILL AND A RESIDUE PROCESSING SYSTEM INCORPORATING SAME
Described herein is a combine harvester having at least one impact mill for devitalising weed seeds in a crop while the crop is being harvested by the combine harvester and a power take off shaft. The impact mill of the combine harvester includes an inlet for material to enter the mill, an impact mechanism arranged to rotate about a rotation axis, an outlet for discharge of impacted material, a drive system coupled to the power take off shaft, one or more torque sensors, and a data processor arranged to process information provided by the one or more torque sensors wherein the data processor is programmed to calculate throughput of material processed by the impact mill. Also described herein is an impact mill system capable of mounting on a combine harvester for devitalising weed seeds in a harvested crop.
Impact mill and a residue processing system incorporating same
An impact mill (10) has an inlet (12) for material to enter the mill, an impact mechanism (16, 50) arranged to rotate about a rotation axis and being operable to pulverise the material after entering through the inlet, and an outlet (154) for discharge of pulverised material. Blockage sensors (Bj), vibration sensors V, torque sensors Tn, temperature sensors and proximity sensors may be selectively incorporated into the mill.
Impact crusher, an upper rotor and a hammer
A impact crusher with dual rotors, an upper rotor (30) and a hammer for the impact crusher are disclosed herein. The upper rotor (30) of the impact crusher comprises two discs on top of each other. The upper rotor (30) comprises a plurality of hammers (40) pointing down, to the outer perimeter of the lower rotor (20) discharging the material to be crushed at high speed. Each hammer (40) has a support shaft (41) that extends vertically between the first disc (31) and the second disc (32). The distance between the first disc (31) and the second disc (32) provides torsional structure to the connection between the hammer and the upper rotor (30).
SHELL LINER FOR A STIRRED GRINDING MILL
A shell liner for a stirred grinding mill is configured to be releasably fitted to the inside of a shell of the mill within a grinding chamber thereof. At least a part of a surface of the shell liner that is configured to be exposed within the grinding chamber constitutes a wear surface. The shell liner includes at least one polymer-ceramics panel having an elastic material layer and wear resistant inserts retained by the elastic material layer. Exposed surfaces of the wear resistant inserts form part of the wear surface of the shell liner.
Crusher rotor
A rotor for a comminution apparatus that is arranged to launch material to be comminuted towards a surface, such as an anvil or an autogenous layer of crushed material. The rotor includes a frame including an upper plate, a lower plate and wall elements extending between the upper plate and the lower plate. The rotor further includes an inlet opening in the upper plate and an outlet located between the upper plate and the lower plate. An uppermost surface of the frame and a lowermost surface of the frame have a greater hardness than the rest of the frame such that additional wear protection elements may be omitted at those uppermost and lowermost surfaces.
