Curved Hammer
20240001372 · 2024-01-04 ·

The various embodiments disclosed and pictured illustrate a curved hammer for comminuting various materials. The illustrative embodiments pictured and described herein are primarily for use with a rotatable hammermill assembly. The curved hammer includes a connection portion having a rod hole therein, a contact portion for delivery of energy to the material to be comminuted, and a curved neck portion affixing the connection portion to the contact portion. In other embodiments, a shoulder is positioned around the periphery of the rod hole for added strength. In still other embodiments, a neck reinforcement is positioned along a portion of the neck for increased strength. A weld or plurality of welds may be affixed to various surfaces of the contact portion to aide in comminuting and/or longevity of the curved hammer.

WINGED HAMMER TIP
20210001346 · 2021-01-07 ·

A hammer tip for releasable integration with a hammer, used in a size reducing machine. The hammer tip is separated into a production block with a top working edge and a spacer block. The production block and spacer block utilize a saddle back attachment to the hammer. The production block is further supported with a lock ledge integration to the spacer block. The spacer block further includes a pair of wings extending outwardly from the left and right sides, and forwardly from the front side, of the spacer block to form additional cutting edges. The wings provide for additional sizing of the material being ground and help move (or push or carry) more material through the grates of the size reducing machine in the same amount of time as compared to spacer blocks without wings. This increased throughput improves efficiency of the size reducing machine.

Tool for working abrasive materials

A tool for processing abrasive materials, in particular rocks, sand or ores, may include a main tool body and a hard metal plate positioned on the main tool body. A build-up weld may be applied to a surface of the hard metal plate and to the main tool body to bond the hard metal plate to the main tool body. Further, a method for producing or treating such a tool may involve positioning the hard metal plate on the main tool body and applying a build-up weld to the hard metal plate and the main tool body such that the hard metal plate is attached to the main tool body.

Sizer tooth

A sizer tooth assembly for a mineral sizer is described. The tooth assembly includes a horn protrusion extending from a rotatable support, the horn protrusion having a pair of opposed front and rear faces; and a shell structure encapsulating the horn protrusion and defining the outer shape of the sizer tooth; wherein the shell structure comprises exactly two cover formations which are non-releasably secured to one another but not to the horn protrusion, to define when so secured a unitary tooth assembly. Each of the two cover formations seats upon and presents an inward engagement face to a respective one of the pair of opposed front and rear faces of the horn protrusion; and each such engagement face of a cover formation and its corresponding face of the horn protrusion are provided with a complementary arrangement of projections and recesses configured such that when the two cover formations are non-releasably secured to one another the shell structure is releasably connected upon the horn protrusion. A mineral sizer including such tooth assemblies and a method of constructing such a tooth assembly and especially of constructing a replacement for repair are also described.
