Device for communication of process feed material with upstream sifting
A device for the comminution of free-flowing feed material is provided that includes a housing enclosing a comminution chamber which contains a rotor that rotates around an axis, and has comminution tools over its circumference. A feeding device to transport the feed material to the comminution chamber in form of a gas-solid matter mixture, wherein the feeding device features a pneumatic sieve passage which uses the effect of gravity for removal of foreign particles from the feed material. In order to operate both the sieve passage and the device under optimal process parameters, the device features at least one inlet port for the supply of secondary air, wherein the at least one inlet port flows into the gas-solid matter mixture downstream of the sieve passage.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SEPARATING MATERIAL COMPOSITES
A device for separating material composites to be disposed of, including at least two material fractions with differing material properties, and a method for separating such material composites are provided. The device, in a region of an upper cover plate, has a bowl-shaped dispensing channel having at least one opening facing toward an impact chamber, and a dispenser arranged in the channel and designed to receive material fractions of a second type from the region of the chamber above a first separating screen and/or near the upper cover plate. Individual material fractions of a material composite, such as a material fraction of the second type to be comminuted and having a lower density than a first material fraction, may be separated in larger pieces from remaining material, to facilitate the transport of individual material fractions and further processing as part of raw material recovery.

The system includes an impact processor comprising an inlet and an outlet, a secondary classifier comprising an inlet and an outlet, the secondary classifier being downstream of and coupled to the impact processor, a recirculation mixer valve downstream of and coupled to the outlet of the secondary classifier, and a recirculation line coupling the outlet of the first secondary classifier to the inlet of the impact processor.

A system is disclosed. The system includes an impact processor comprising an inlet and an outlet, a secondary classifier comprising an inlet and an outlet, the secondary classifier being downstream of and coupled to the impact processor, a recirculation mixer valve downstream of and coupled to the outlet of the secondary classifier, and a recirculation line coupling the outlet of the first secondary classifier to the inlet of the impact processor.
System and method for preheating a beater mill
A method for preheating a beater mill is provided. The method includes: rotating a beater wheel disposed within the beater mill to facilitate circulation of a gas stream between the beater mill and a furnace fluidly connected to each other via both a pulverized fuel conduit and a flue gas recirculation conduit; generating a burner gas via a burner disposed within the flue gas recirculation conduit such that the burner gas joins and heats the gas stream circulating through the beater mill and the furnace; and adjusting at least one of an air supply and a fuel supply to the burner via a controller based at least in part on one of a temperature of the gas stream at an entrance of the beater mill, a temperature of the gas stream at an exit of the beater mill, and an oxygen level within the beater mill.
System and method for preheating a beater mill
A method for preheating a beater mill is provided. The method includes: rotating a beater wheel disposed within the beater mill to facilitate circulation of a gas stream between the beater mill and a furnace fluidly connected to each other via both a pulverized fuel conduit and a flue gas recirculation conduit; generating a burner gas via a burner disposed within the flue gas recirculation conduit such that the burner gas joins and heats the gas stream circulating through the beater mill and the furnace; and adjusting at least one of an air supply and a fuel supply to the burner via a controller based at least in part on one of a temperature of the gas stream at an entrance of the beater mill, a temperature of the gas stream at an exit of the beater mill, and an oxygen level within the beater mill.

A device and a plate-like grinding tool for grinding feed material that has a housing extending along an axis of rotation, in which a rotor rotationally driven about the rotation axis is arranged and includes a plurality of axially parallel grinding tools that are surrounded by a stator with stator tools. The effective edges of the grinding tools are arranged radially spaced from the stator tools by forming a grinding gap extending over an axial length of the grinding gap. The material is fed into the grinding gap on an inlet side and exits from the grinding gap on an outlet side. The axially extending effective edges of the grinding tools are divided in the axial direction into at least two first sections, each with a first radial distance from the rotational axis and into at least one second section with a second radial distance from the axis of rotation.
