A GRINDING MILL ROTOR

There is disclosed a grinding mill rotor for a grinding mill to stir a slurry of mineral ore particles, or other particulate material, and a grinding medium within the grinding mill thereby to cause turbulence within the slurry to promote attrition of the particulate material through interaction with the grinding medium. The grinding mill rotor includes a planar body having an axis of rotation around which the body rotates during use. Several spaced apart paddles are provided on and extend transversely across the body. At least some of the paddles have a rotationally leading face that is angled relative to an orthogonal line extending orthogonally from the axis of rotation of the body, wherein an offset angle β between the leading face and the orthogonal line is selected to be between 1° and 35° to control a rate at which the slurry slides across the planar body during use.

An agitator ball mill comprising a grinding chamber having a cylindrical wall, and further having a rotatably mounted agitator shaft extending into the grinding chamber and on which at least one agitator element is arranged inside the grinding chamber. The mill further comprises an inlet for supplying to the grinding chamber material to be ground and grinding bodies, an outlet for removal of the ground material, and an induction heater for the material to be ground located in the grinding chamber, the induction heater comprising an inductor and a susceptor. The at least one agitator element comprises a susceptor material which forms the susceptor of the induction heater, wherein the inductor comprises at least one coil which is arranged outside the cylindrical wall of the grinding chamber and encompasses the grinding chamber, and wherein the cylindrical wall of the grinding chamber consists of an electrically and magnetically non-conductive material.

BEAD MILL

Problems occur in a bead mill due to wear on a sealing member of a sealing device disposed on a contact portion between a rotating portion and slurry, and due to the adhesion of deposits on the sealing device. A bead mill device that stirs a mixture of slurry and beads in a vertical cylindrical container includes a slurry storage vessel disposed above the cylindrical container, and a slurry flow passage through which the slurry flows from the slurry storage vessel into the cylindrical container. A component that causes the slurry in the slurry flow passage to flow downward is disposed on a rotary shaft. Further, a component for suppressing the flow of the slurry is disposed in the slurry storage vessel. This structure obviates the need to dispose a mechanical sealing device on the rotary shaft.

GRINDING AND SHAPING METHOD USING VERTICAL GRINDING MILL
20220134347 · 2022-05-05 ·

A grinding and shaping method using a vertical grinding mill, comprising: selecting a vertical grinding mill with thread pitch/diameter ratio of a spiral rotor; selecting the grade of a grinding medium and determining the filling factor and adding the grinding medium into a grinding chamber of the vertical grinding mill; sequentially initiating a dust collector, an air blowing device, a driving device and a feeding device, wherein the driving device propels the spiral rotor to rotate, and the air blowing device blows upward from bottom of the grinding chamber; adjusting rotation speed of the spiral rotor of the vertical grinding mill to change cycling speed of the raw material and the grinding medium in the grinding chamber; feeding a raw material into the feeding port at an upper end of the grinding chamber; initiating a discharging device, and discharging the raw material from a discharging port.

Stirring mill

A stirring mill, including a horizontally arranged milling vessel and a stirring shaft which is arranged therein so that it can be rotationally driven are provided. The stirring shaft has a first stirring shaft section adjacent to an inlet for material to be ground, which has a smaller diameter D24, and a second stirring shaft section adjacent to an outlet for material to be ground, which has a larger diameter D25 and in which a separating device is formed. Bypass channels leading into the separating device are formed in the first stirring shaft section.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECYCLING ASPHALT MILINGS

Apparatus and method for recycling asphalt millings containing bitumen and stone. A milling tube is provided having an outer tube and an inner tube axially aligned with and substantially contained within the outer tube, the inner tube having a diameter less that a diameter of the outer tube to thus define a mixing space between the inner and outer tubes. At least one of the inner and outer tubes is adapted to rotate relative to the other. An inlet is provided to the mixing space to receive the asphalt millings. A plurality of inner tube projections project radially outward from a surface of the inner tube toward the outer tube, and a plurality of outer tube projections project radially inward from a surface of the outer tube toward the inner tube. The milling tube facilitates the separation of the asphalt millings into bitumen and stone as one of the inner and outer tubes rotates relative to the other. Preferably, at least one of the outer and inner tubes contains an abrasive coating on a surface thereof, the inner tube projections and outer tube projections are comprised of wire rope, and an inlet is provided in the outer tube through which cold air can be applied to the mixing space.

Additive coated particles for low cost high performance materials

Existing methods of extrusion and other techniques to compound host and additives material uniformly disperse the additive in the host. This innovation uses ball milling to a coat a host particle with an additive dramatically reducing the additive required to achieve a percolative network in the host.
