Powered chairs, assemblies for use in the powered chairs, and components for use in the assemblies are provided. Electrical systems for use in the powered chairs, and components for use in the electrical systems are provided. Control systems and methods for operating powered chairs are also provided. Any given chair may be locally and/or remotely controlled.

Wireless midfield systems and methods

Implantable devices and/or sensors can be wirelessly powered by controlling and propagating electromagnetic waves in a patient's tissue. Such implantable devices/sensors can be implanted at target locations in a patient, to stimulate areas such as the heart, brain, spinal cord, or muscle tissue, and/or to sense biological, physiological, chemical attributes of the blood, tissue, and other patient parameters. The propagating electromagnetic waves can be generated with sub-wavelength structures configured to manipulate evanescent fields outside of tissue to generate the propagating waves inside the tissue. Methods of use are also described.

Self-contained portable positionable oscillating motor array including disposable and/or recyclable portions

In some embodiments, a system and/or method may include an inner wearable harness worn, during use, on a torso of a subject which includes a flexible vest. The system may include a plurality of engines, each of which are contained in a flexible container, which when activated apply an oscillation force. The system may include a positioning system which allows positioning the flexible container such that the oscillation force is applied to at least one treatment area of the subject. The oscillation force may mobilize, during use, at least some secretions in an airway within the subject substantially adjacent the treatment area. The system may include an outer harness worn, during use, on a torso of a subject. The outer wearable harness, when activated, adjusts the oscillation force applied by at least some of the activated plurality of engines to the treatment area by providing a compressive force.

SYSTEM, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR LONG LASTING LIP PLUMPING

A lip plumping device includes a positive pressure device having a striking rod and striking head attached on the an end of the striking rod; a force-generating element to propel the striking head with energy which upon impacting on a target spot on a lip or in an area around the lip increases blood flood to the target spot on the lip or in the area around the lip which produces a lip plumping effect; and a button that controls the force-generating element. The target spot and a striking force of the positive pressure device is controlled by instructions from a computing device.

System and method for eyelid stimulation

A system and method of treating hyperactivity of an eyelid closing muscle in a subject includes providing a stimulation system in the subject with the hyperactivity of the eyelid closing muscle, sensing an activity of the eyelid closing muscle, and selectively stimulating eyelid opening muscle(s) or innervating nerves, eyelid opening reflexes, or eyelid opening reflexes in non-muscular tissue, using the stimulation system, without substantially activating the eyelid closing muscle. The system and method evokes eyelid movement in the subject.

Flexible vest including a positionable oscillating motor array

In some embodiments, a system may include an inner wearable harness including a flexible vest. The system may include at least one engine which when activated apply an oscillation force. The at least one engine is positioned after the vest has been positioned on the subject on different areas of the inner wearable harness to allow selective placement of engines on and/or adjacent areas of the subject's chest such that the oscillation force is applied to at least one treatment area. The oscillation force may mobilize, during use, at least some secretions in an airway within the subject substantially adjacent the treatment area. The system may include a flexible and elastic outer harness worn, during use, on a torso of a subject which when activated provides a compressive force to adjust the oscillation force applied by at least some of the at least one engine to the treatment area.

Adjustable bed with improved power management
10973342 · 2021-04-13 · ·

The disclosure generally relates to an adjustable bed, in particular incorporating improved power management systems. In various embodiments, an adjustable bed can include a wirelessly chargeable remote control unit, one or more pulse width modulator units to provide DC power at a variety of voltages appropriate for varied peripheral electrical components of the bed, and/or a battery backup unit providing power to the bed in addition to a mains power input. The various power management systems can reduce wire clutter for peripheral electrical components, permit a wider range of peripheral electrical components to be driven by a single power supply, provide for adjustable bed operation in the absence of mains power supply, and reduce power consumption in different operation modes.

Stimulation device

A device for stimulating the male genitalia. The device includes an elasticated ring configured to encircle a penis. The elasticated ring houses: an electrical power source; a first electrically-powered vibratory part in a top end portion of the ring; a second electrically-powered vibratory part in a bottom end portion of the ring, the top end portion of the ring being opposite the bottom end portion of the ring; and an electrical connection electrically connecting the first and second vibratory parts to the electrical power source. The electrical connection configured to accommodate expansion of the elasticated ring.
